Update to “Good while it lasted” = much better
The diverter warranty was much better than the original response from Delta indicated for this all-metal diverter. There is a new one on the way, and this review is to give the rating a click up because of the customer service follow up. I do like the design and function of the product, but it seems this one was a production/inspection miss. The company has made it right by shipping a new one. I will probably replace the replacement shower I purchased with the U4920 when the new diverter arrives, since I prefer the design and function of this more expensive model. Kudos to Delta for following up.

Good while it lasted, but less than 35 uses
Sorry to report that the all brass diverter near the head of this model is not as substantial as I expected. Used in our guest shower very infrequently, so overuse was not an issue. The recent guest found that it leaked from both the lever side and around the fitting just below the connector to the wall pipe. Looked for a way to correct with kit. Not warrantied.$90 for a new one. Delta missed the durability mark on this one. Worked great initially, but not a lasting piece, even with the heavy duty construction.

Much Easier operation
Much easier to operate than most diverters this style. Installed for an elderly client and they love it.

Instructions
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Works great once you discover you can twist the hose receiver to move to proper place. Not in the instructions that I could find! Thanks Caren Lee for finding this out for me!

Useless
The 3-way diverter only lets water through in 2 of the 3 positions. Therefore, it is useless since the whole point of it was to have the option of the handheld shower only.

Rubber Gasket Issues
As John G stated, a year ago, the rubber gasket breaks and leaks. My gasket looks just like John G's does in his pictures.
I also, have one more issue. I need to replace the hose for the handheld shower and when I go to remove the hose, on the end that connects to the diverter, instead of the hose disconnection from the diverter, the piece in the images twists off of the diverter assembly. I tried to hold it to remove the hose and the sharp edges cut my hand.
Where can I find a hex key that fits the part in the picture?

Q&A
Is polished brass finish available for U4920?
I noticed a polished brass finish is available for U4929? Is it available for a Delta 3-way shower arm diverter with hand shower mount? Thanks.
Hi Dave, Thank you for your question!
The U4920-PK 3 way diverter is not available in Polished Brass finish.
Best Regards,
Brandis

Does this revert to the original function once you turn it off?
I want to make sure that if you turn off the water and go to use it the next day if it stays on the last function you had chosen. I have an elderly lady that cannot reach the lever so the last person that leaves the shower is going to turn it on the hand shower for the lady. I dont know if it is a vacuum that works it so when it is off it reverts to the original setting.
Thanks
Anna
Thank you for contacting Delta Faucet Company.
This diverter will stay in the position it was in when you turned it off.

Does the hand shower mount rotate or is it fixed in one location?
I need to angle the hand shower mount. Can I rotate it on the diverter?
Thank you for contacting Delta Faucet Company.
Yes, the handshower holder will rotate.

Diverter positions
Does this diverter allow for water flow through both the fixed shower head and the hand-held one at the same time? Also, does it allow to stop the water totally?
Thank you.
Thank you for your question. Delta Faucet model # U4920-RB-PK can be used to switch the flow from the handheld shower to the stationary showerhead. It can also be used to run them both at the same time. It does not stop the water at all.

Can the switch lever be changed to a right-hand position?
Hi, gvincent!
Thank you for your question. The Delta U4920-SS-PK 3 way diverter lever cannot be turned to the right hand position as it will be upside down.
Best Regards,
Rosanna

How do you reverse the flip switch and the shower head bracket?
I need to mount the diverter with the handle on the right and the bracket on the left.
Lever-control and hand shower mount are fixed. Lever-control on the left, hand shower mount on the right, and shower hose on the bottom.

does the hand shower mount bracket hold any brand of hand shower or only delta.
Thank you for your question. Delta Faucet model # U4920-SS-PK will hold any Delta Faucet model hand shower, and it is a standard size. If you have another brand of handshower that is a standard size of 1/2 inches, it will probably work, but we cannot guarantee it.

Where can I find a picture of how it looks like once it is installed on a hand shower with a slide bar?
Hi Jessica, Thank you for your question. The U4920-SS-PK is a shower arm 3 way diverter with hand shower mount. This unit mounts to the shower arm, not to a slide bar. Unfortunately we do not have an installed image of this product.
Thanks,
Dave

How can I use this with the RP61273RB shower arm? Is it possible to flip the diverter around so the female end of the diverter attaches to the RP61273RB?
Hello Copper5ab,
Thank you for your question. The Delta 3-way Diverter U4920-RB-PK can be installed on the RP61273RB shower arm only by the one end designed for the connection. Also the hand shower holder/mount is not adjustable, so the installed hand shower will face downward.
Best regards,
Tanya

I have a Delta showerhead that I do not want to replace, but need a three way diverter I know in order to add a handheld. Is this three way diverter universal? I found a magnetic sure dock Moen handheld that I like because of the docking mount.
