Update to “Good while it lasted” = much better
The diverter warranty was much better than the original response from Delta indicated for this all-metal diverter. There is a new one on the way, and this review is to give the rating a click up because of the customer service follow up. I do like the design and function of the product, but it seems this one was a production/inspection miss. The company has made it right by shipping a new one. I will probably replace the replacement shower I purchased with the U4920 when the new diverter arrives, since I prefer the design and function of this more expensive model. Kudos to Delta for following up.

Good while it lasted, but less than 35 uses
Sorry to report that the all brass diverter near the head of this model is not as substantial as I expected. Used in our guest shower very infrequently, so overuse was not an issue. The recent guest found that it leaked from both the lever side and around the fitting just below the connector to the wall pipe. Looked for a way to correct with kit. Not warrantied.$90 for a new one. Delta missed the durability mark on this one. Worked great initially, but not a lasting piece, even with the heavy duty construction.

Instructions

Useless
The 3-way diverter only lets water through in 2 of the 3 positions. Therefore, it is useless since the whole point of it was to have the option of the handheld shower only.

Rubber Gasket Issues
As John G stated, a year ago, the rubber gasket breaks and leaks. My gasket looks just like John G's does in his pictures.
I also, have one more issue. I need to replace the hose for the handheld shower and when I go to remove the hose, on the end that connects to the diverter, instead of the hose disconnection from the diverter, the piece in the images twists off of the diverter assembly. I tried to hold it to remove the hose and the sharp edges cut my hand.
Where can I find a hex key that fits the part in the picture?

All products are guaranteed with a lifetime warranty. Some shower products include brass (metal) components for added strength and weight. The U4920-PK is made of brass and plastic materials.

Are you able to have the water flow from both outputs at the same time?

Is it a ball valve inside the diverter?
With many diverters I have noticed they have a small hole inside and restrict water flow and make a lot of noise. I have a rainfall shower head and it needs the least amount of restriction. So I was looking for a ball valve type so there is no restriction. Will this meet my needs? Thanks

I appreciate your interest in Delta Faucet. The U4920-PK diverter does not have a restrictor in it. The flow restrictor would be in the showerhead and is not recommended to be removed. Removing the restrictor can damage the showerhead and would void the warranty.

How do you rotate the holder on the handheld shower diverter #DU4920SSPK
Thank you for your question, Betsy 70! The hand shower holder for model U4920-PK simply turns to adjust. It may be easier to adjust this position with the hand shower already mounted.

I have this model and it appears to be stainless steel. Might you also manufacture this as Stainless steel? Purchased at Lowe’s, and has a date on the package which states “2019-5” This is listed as the U4920-PK and it also states ‘Ref: 4920CPK’

Thank you for your question. The Delta 3-Way Shower Arm Diverter U4920-PK is a Chrome (shiny reflective silver) finish. The U4920-SS-PK model would be the Stainless Steel ( dull brushed silver) finish model.

Is there any limitation of water flow when the diverter is attached?

Thank you for your question. You should not experience a noticeable a reduction in flow rate compared to the flow from the shower arm.
