Rated 3 out of 5 by from Love Mine, Hate His I bought this at Sam's Club a few years ago and installed it my shower. I love it. The side lever on the diverter/mount and the lever on the handheld showerhead are great and easy to use (WAY easier than those with rotating shower heads). The water pressure is what we expected. Nothing leaks. The handheld options are good, and I especially like the trickle feature so I don’t have to turn my shower off if I don’t need continuous water. I loved it so much I got one for my man’s shower. I won’t lie—it’s been in the garage, still the package, for a little while. But we finally installed it tonight. Nothing leaks—it doesn’t leak at the inlet pipe, it doesn’t leak from the big showerhead, and it doesn’t leak at either end of the handheld showerhead. But the diverter assembly won’t stay still; it spins and spins and won’t tighten. We can’t put the handheld showerhead in its cradle because it unbalances the whole thing which causes the diverter assembly to spin around and dump the handheld showerhead. So for the time being, the handheld showerhead is relaxing in a completely unrelated shower caddy. It’s possible that we got a bum piece of equipment. Or maybe something happened during our assembly (but nothing happened—we were careful). Naturally, the receipt has disappeared. In the end, I’m torn about loving this product, so I’ll just say that I love the one in my shower. P.S. The instructions were a tad misleading. One end of the hose is a nut and the other end has a pretty kind of case. The pretty end connects to the handheld showerhead; the nut connects to the diverter. But the picture shows the case end going onto the diverter.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from High-quality valve, but inferior attachment gasket We recently purchased this Delta U4920-PK shower diverter valve after the valve we had purchased a few years ago from a big-box store finally broke. I was very impressed with the apparent quality of this metal valve, compared to the all-plastic one we are replacing. Also, the simple ease of pushing or pulling the large lever to switch the water flow, instead of turning a hard-to-twist knob, is a great design. However, there is a major flaw which prevented us from ever using this new valve. As other reviewers have reported here and on other websites, the valve leaks at the attach point! Prior to purchase I had assumed from those reviews that these folks simply did not tighten the attach nut enough. But that’s not the problem! In fact, the problem is, when you tighten it enough that it won’t twist on the inlet pipe, the rubber gasket gets pushed up into the inlet pipe, making the entire assembly loose and not watertight. Once that happens the rubber gasket is cut and deformed, and there is no longer any way to tighten it. This gasket should be made of a much firmer material so it can be tightened without deforming. The plastic valve from the big-box store didn’t have this problem, so I’m sure there is a way to fix this. It’s a shame that, in our experience, a simple inexpensive part like this rubber gasket makes this fine valve unusable. I would give this product 5 stars if it were not for this gasket issue. The accompanying photos illustrate the problem.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Plastic Parts I bought the A112.18.1 shower/hand sprayer combo with this diverter on it. After using it for a while the diverter lever snapped off. Now it can't be used because of the broken lever.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Never stopped leaking When this arrived, I was so happy because it was heavy and had a beautiful finish. It really looked like a solid, well-made product. Well the install did not go as planned. Right away it leaked at the main. It is extremely difficult to tighten on the main while keeping the shower head tight. Both my husband and I tried to make the work. We even bought new gaskets and it still leaked. I ended up getting a more basic diverter and it worked perfect.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Poor Quality-Too much plastic Have had the combination hand held/rain shower head installed for about 2 years. Suddenly I get a huge leak that squirts all over the shower wall coming out of this diverter valve via crack in the plastic chrome plated housing at the base of the hand held shower hose connections. This item was purchased at COSTCO and I no longer have the receipt to try and get it replaced. This replacement diverter valve is more expensive than I paid for the complete assembly

Rated 5 out of 5 by from High Quality After two cheapies which lasted about a month in one case and broke during installation in the other case, I can't tell you how good this product is. Heavy, easy to install and easier than most to use. Love it!!!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Better product I bought the original fixture made by Delta, which failed after two years, mainly because it is made of plastic; which was unknown to me until it failed. The product has a metallic appearance and metal connectors. The replacement unit Delta offers is made of Brass, which I suspect will last much longer. It already functions easier as well.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from High quality I, and my plumber, were very pleased with the quality of this diverter. As far as use, it extends the original shower arm which is mounted too high for average height people while adding the dimension of a handheld to help those people with rinsing off. When set to both the handheld and shower arm, my husband loves it and says it is like being under a waterfall. Very easy to change settings even with eyes closed by shampoo! Would that the handheld and hose had been a similar quality.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Delta 3-Way Shower Arm Diverter with Hand Shower Mount I am completely satisfied with the Delta 3-Way Shower Arm Diverter with Hand Shower Mount. It enables me to use the rainfall shower head alone or use the hand held shower head to wash the dog rinse the tube after taking a shower. And I can also use both shower heads at the same time for more volume or water when I desire it. And the Delta warrantee is the best I have used. I had a problem with a part that was no fault of Delta and they sent me a replacement part to make repair at no charge to me. Delta has excellent customer service.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Delta Quality Another quality product from Delta. Nicely chromed and my wife can actually use it now. I have two other diverters , one from Kohler and a cheapo brand and this one is easiest to use . No guessing on where to turn it. Solid as a rock and great chrome plating. Should last forever.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from A wonderful concept! The idea behind this small piece is huge. The diverter lets you choose either your shower head, handshower or both. The lever is easy for anyone to use (no more push-pull knob). And the icing on the cake is you don't have to put any extra holes in your wall for a bracket. A+ all around! My remodeling/ updating customers love it.

does the hand shower mount bracket hold any brand of hand shower or only delta.

Asked by: goodytwoshoes
Thank you for your question. Delta Faucet model # U4920-SS-PK will hold any Delta Faucet model hand shower, and it is a standard size. If you have another brand of handshower that is a standard size of 1/2 inches, it will probably work, but we cannot guarantee it.

Where can I find a picture of how it looks like once it is installed on a hand shower with a slide bar?

Asked by: Jessica
Hi Jessica, Thank you for your question. The U4920-SS-PK is a shower arm 3 way diverter with hand shower mount. This unit mounts to the shower arm, not to a slide bar. Unfortunately we do not have an installed image of this product. Thanks, Dave
