My friend is a master plumber and he always said I dont care what kind you buy as long as its Delta. I purchase 2 of these of these when we moved into my house and an Intuition also. 1 of the 3 way diverters has cracked. Like many others have posted on here. All I have in my house is delta products.

Plastic inside?
Built a new home a few years ago and purchased shower diverter thru the plumbing store because I was told they were better quality, not plastic, like you get at big box stores. Spent the extra money, only to have water shooting out of the diverter switch. Took it apart and found the housing around the switch is plastic and broken, really? This is in an extra bathroom and the shower isn't even used on a daily basis.

One last question. My tile guy has already installed R10000-UNBX and placed the cement, can I still connect the R11000? If not, what is the best thing to do with these parts: T14259-LHD, R10000-UNBX, 55085 and 50560.

Can the lever be moved from the left side to the right side? I am short, and from outside the tub, for rinsing tub or shampooing the dog, it is an extra 2 inch reach.
Thank you for your question, bunkie13! If threaded correctly, this diverter can be lined up so the lever faces the left side, however the hand shower hose port will be facing upwards but will still work.

Will this diverter work properly if attached with the water flow into the male connection and out the female connection? If not, do you make a diverter with male connections for both input and output connections such as Kohler's K-76331?

Moved into a house with a Delta three way shower fixture. The diverter isn't working. Will the U4929 fit any models? Sounds like this is a better option than what is on there- pull or push type. Thanks

Shower Arm Diverter or In-Wall Diverter?
We are completely remodeling our bathroom and adding a tub/shower combination. We want to also have a hand shower. We are looking at using the Delta Compel T17461 with the tub filler with diverter. What are the advantages and disadvantages of using the shower arm diverter vs. one built into the wall?
Also, can you tell me if this will reduce the water flow to the normal shower head?
Hi Robinja, Thank you for your question. The shower arm diverter is a quick and easy way to add the hand shower to a tub/shower faucet. The diverter simply screws onto the shower arm and the hand shower hose and fixed shower head are attached to the diverter. The diverter then allows you to choose between using each shower head individually or both at the same time. The in-wall diverter requires a diverter rough, diverter trim, and a wall elbow that will be plumbed in with the tub/shower rough and trim. The in-wall diverter is easier to use and visually a much cleaner look but is more costly. The downside to the shower arm diverter is reaching up to the arm to operate and having everything attached to the same arm is somewhat crowded.
Water flow going through the diverter is reduced, but the tub/shower trim should put out enough flow for 2 shower heads assuming you have normal household water pressure.

What are the diameters of the 3 openings? it looks like the bigger opening is 1/2" but what about the smaller ones?

What is the flow rate?
Will this work with the 75527-CZ 10-inch Raincan Shower Head and Hand Held Shower Combo, Rainfall Shower Head and Hand Shower?
Can you connect this directly to the supply line at the wall rather than the far end of the shower arm? I want to use this to connect a handheld shower and a rain shower head.

The connections on this diverter are all 1/2-14 NPSM threaded. Designed to connect to a standard showerhead/rain can, a standard shower arm, or a hand shower hose. Install this diverter by hand tightening to male 1/2" threads on the shower arm. Or, it could be installed to another water supply pipe with male 1/2-14 NPSM threads.

U4929-PK diverter. Lots of questions about flow restrictions. Getting to the heart of the matter, and assuming this is not as a full port ball valve: What is the minimum inside diameter on both the shower port and the handheld port?

What is the maximum flow rate (gpm) at normal household pressure (40-80 psi) of the U4929 shower arm diverter?

The maximum flow rate of a shower will depend on the shower valve used and the home water pressure. Unfortunately, we have not tested the maximum flow rate of this diverter. It can provide enough flow for any two of our showerheads or hand showers.

On 3-way ADA shower diverter, the flip lever will be as high as the pipe coming out of the wall. In my case, about 74 inches. Any thought about attaching a light push-pull rod?
