A diverted valve that works.
Finally an add n shower diverted valve that works! This 3 way valve permits the user to select either or both shower heads and does not restrict water flow. Add to that robust design and construction and you have a real winner.

Leaky Diverter
We bought two of these diverters during a home renovation. They both worked for about 2 years, now one leaks from two different spots on the diverter. We really liked the concept of the switch but disappointed it failed so quickly. Delta should really do a better job of quality control.

Love features, but 50/50 whether it leaks
I install these regularly on my remodels, however, there's a 50/50 shot of whether it leaks out of the box or not....i don't understand whey we can't buy a quality product from Delta anymore.

switching mechanism blew out

Shows head leaks
I love the item however, when i turn the switch on for just the handheld to work, both the handheld and the shower head have water coming out of them. This defeats the purpose of having a handheld. Very disappointed as I needed a handheld for my baby.

Still Leaking
This is my second one. The first leaked, so now the second also leaks. Hand tightening just doesnt do it, and it twirls around when I use it. I really like this diverter, but think Delta should have put a solid connection to the shower arm. Probly will send this one back too.

Piece of garbage
This item is a piece of garbage. I bought this in Jan. on Amazon for use in our 2nd home. It probably hasn't been used more then 50 times and it no longer works. When you try to cange the water flow to the hand held shower head it just shuts off all the flow of water.

This product has a cheap plastic handle on an otherwise all metal diverter.
Had mine for only seven years when this cheap plastic handle broke on mine,causing a major inconvenience and the cost of a good plumber and the new diverter and head I had to purchase in the mean time while waiting for the replacement diverter in the mail!! I only hope the home improvement store will give me a refund for the shower head and diverter kit once I put the replacement one from Delta in....

easy installation and sturdy
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We mostly use the hand held sprayer to wash suds off the shower walls so it gets used every shower. Easy flick of the lever and the water positively diverts to the hand held. No leaking out of the shower head when on handheld and vise versa. We like the diverter valve and are buying another soon for another shower in the house.

Best shower diverter on the market!
My wife has severe arthritis in her hands. I have tried 6 shower diverters and she could not operate the control on any of them. I kept researching as she really needs to use the fixed shower head and the hand held as well.
I finally found the U4929-PK 3 Way Water Diverter that is ADA Compliant. What a blessing this product is. She can operate the handle even on the days with the most pain.

first one leaked from everywhere, 2nd one is perfect! can isolate either the hand shower or the shower head, or have them both running at once. matches the brushed nickel finish of the moen fittings perfectly!

So far, so good.
I had an existing two-way switch, however this one is much better and allows both hand-held and main stationary head to operate together. Hopefully this item/product will last like my Delta Faucets; we will see. I will say that Delta has long been the leader in Customer Service on my two experiences with them handling problems. Please, Delta, keep that end operating well.

Slick design with flawless feel of diverting lever.
The web page picture fails to communicate the elegance of the brass-toned fixture. There is a certain "wow" factor when seen in person. The lever flips with ease and you can easily switch positions even with your face soapy and eyes closed.

Leaked in two places right out of the box.
I have had Delta products for over 30 years and have never had a problem. I used this valve when remodeling my bath. It leaked in several places right out of the box. I have replaced this unit with a delta 50650-SS which works just fine. Overall I am happy with delta products, but I would not recommend this one.

Extreme Ease of use
I changed from the type of diverter manufactured by Delta - which was hard to reach, too much effort was needed to move - to this one. This one really has 2 finger movement - which is great because only my finger tips can reach it. Would recommend it highly.

Which diverter valve is better?
Is this diverter valve better to use than the U4923-PK? I want to run my showerhead and my hand shower simultaneously.

The difference between these two diverters is simply how they operate. Once having a push button and one having a lever.

Specifications for Diverter Valve 4929PK
I recently bought this product and two pieces of information were not available:
- All brass construction. Does this apply to the entire product or just the valve. The handle that switches the flow appears to be chrome-covered plastic. What is the base/structural material of the handle? Is it covered under the lifetime warranty? Is it replaceable by the consumer or must the entire valve be replaced?
- The shower output and handheld output (in my use) both appear to have flow limiting orifices. The handheld output flow limiter appears to be removable by plumbers hex wrench. The shower limiter does not appear removable other than by drilling through brass. What is the GPM output for both shower and handheld? Are my assumptions regarding remove-ability correct? Would a careful drilling of the shower output to approximately the size of the input likely cause valve failure? Would it void the warranty?
Thank you for your questions. Delta Faucet model # 4929PK is a brass constructed model. However, the handle is a non-metallic composite. There is a lifetime warranty to the original owner.
The gpm on the devices that you are running through the diverter differ depending on the device. You will need to check with the specs for the device. We do not recommend drilling of any kind on our valves and it does void the warranty if drilling occurs.

Flow Restrictors
Do all the 3-Way shower arm diverters have flow restrictors? My heads also have restrictors and I don't want it doubled up.
I saw a similar question asked and it was said to refer to the specs for flow levels. I cant find that information in the spec sheet or manual I downloaded.

Moved into a house with a Delta three way shower fixture. The diverter isn't working. Will the U4929 fit any models? Sounds like this is a better option than what is on there- pull or push type. Thanks

What are the diameters of the 3 openings? it looks like the bigger opening is 1/2" but what about the smaller ones?
