Perfect fit, great price
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We purchased this for a 8' ceiling mounted rain shower. The chrome finish was shipped wrapped in tissue paper to keep it from getting scratches. Threads were correct and screwed right in. I would highly recommend this for anyone installing a rain shower.

Do you have a ceiling shower arm and flange that is 12" or more in length?

Unfortunately at this time, we do not have a longer ceiling mounted shower arm and flange than the 9" model, U4999, although we do carry longer models which can be mounted to the wall.

Is there any reason not to use a U4999-PK to extend the distance of a UA902-PK from a wall?
We will use the UA902-PK adjustable arm with the outlet in the wall (not ceiling) but would like the rain shower head to be further from the wall than the 10" it provides. Is there any reason not to use the U4999-PK to extend that by 9" or the U4996-PK to extend it by 3"? Any advice on properly supporting the wall outlet to do this? The system will be installed by a professional plumber.

Hi Mike, The UA902-PK will attach to both the U4999-PK and U4996-PK and allow you to extend the showerhead further from the wall. We recommmend installing a drop ear elbow directly to the stud/stringer for additional support.

Our ceiling mounted shower arms are tested to a tensile strength of 100 lbs.

Can this be attached to U4999-SS (16-Inch Shower Arm) to lower the shower head from ceiling by 9-10inches? Ceiling height is 9ft.

is the maximum length arm available 9"? If a 24" arm were needed, how would you solve the problem?

Can two shower arms be attached in-line for a total of 18" arm from ceiling?
Hi Toni,
Thank you for your question. The shower arms have 1/2" male pipe threads at each end. So they would be able to be coupled together with a 1/2" pipe coupling. The problem that you will run into is that you will not find a finished coupling to match the shower arms leaving a mismatched look.

Can this arm be used a wall (instead of ceiling) mount for a rain shower head?

Thank you for your question. We do not recommend wall mounting this Delta U4999-CZ Shower Arm as it will stick straight out and does not bend to position a shower head down for showering.
