In our tests, we haven't found the hose to affect odor or taste, but it could be possible. More often, water rests in these hoses when the faucet is in the off position, which can allow bacteria that is present in the water to grow under certain conditions. Hello! To remove this hose you will pinch the clips at the end of the hose firmly and pull the hose off of the end valve. To install the new hose, simply press the ends onto the end valve of the faucet. Please reach out with further questions! Best Regards, Tim Digital Communications Specialist
