PRODUCT FEATURES
Single-function valve cartridge controls the temperature at full output flow. Monitors water pressure to balance temperature. All Delta® tub and shower faucets are engineered to keep the water temperature within a safe ±3.6° F (±1.7° C)*. This technology makes sure your family doesn’t experience a sudden and possibly unsafe change in water temperature as a result of running water elsewhere, such as using a dishwasher, flushing a toilet or running a washing machine. The valve cartridge features an adjustable handle limit stop that, when properly set, helps ensure the handle cannot be turned to a position that is too hot for comfort*. The handle limit stop's integrated design allows easy adjustment via pull and turn. Easily replaced seals make maintenance a snap.
This cartridge is included with tub and shower trim packages.
*Requires inlet water temperature be set correctly. May require seasonal adjustments.

Would not recommend.
Starts to leak every 3 to 6 months. Replaced the O-rings and the cartridge twice. Last time I replaced the cartridge was November 2024. Correction, that is when I ordered it. Didn't arrive for 3 more weeks. It was a constant stream of water. I had to shut the water off to my shower after every use. The worst part is it's not even a good shower. The water pressure for the shower is weak.70% is plastic. Would not recommend.

Good faucet
Product came in damaged. Have tried to get a replacement for two weeks. It might show up today. Very poor customer service from Delta and FedEX. Will not use Delta again for parts.

Not what I hope for from Delta
I have bought several different brands of valve cartridges for this shower. They all leak. Do you have an upgrade or do I replace the whole thing and never buy delta again? I have used delta replacement. From Lowe's. Nothing working more than couple of months at the longest

The range for temperature control is terrible. The choices are too hot or too cold. Our previous cartridge allowed for greater variety.

"Genuine Delta" continued to leak
Six year old Delta shower head began leaking. Purchased this replacement from Home Depot and it didn't help a bit, leak continues as before. I've had the valve apart several times and cleaned everything I can find. I've been advised to try another one, but don't want to waste another $65 to have the same leak, but that may be a better alternative than calling a plumber. The other advice I've received is to buy Moen.

This cartridge is overpriced for the (lack of) quality. Aside from them not lasting beyond a year in most cases, why does it have to be constructed of materials that are proven to cause cancer... I bet you the engineers and higher ups in this company don't even use their own products..

Substandard Quality
This Delta cartridge lasts 6 to 8 months before it starts leaking again .
You will constantly have to buy a $60 cartridge and pay to be installed.
I will never use Delta faucets again in my next house and I don’t recommend anyone to use Delta products.
Their quality is substandard, spend more money on quality faucets because you will spend more fixing and buying cartridges in the long run.
I learned my lesson and I hope you don’t buy their products and make the same mistake.

Faulty design
I installed a new multi choice base in my shower to upgrade my old delta faucet. Boy was that a mistake! the cartridge lasted about a year before it started dripping. I have since bought several cup seals and installed those, they last for about a month before dripping again. Finally the actual cartridge developed a crack in the plastic. I bought a new delta cartridge and it lasted a month before it started leaking. I have spent so much time replacing seals and cartridges that I gave up and installed a shutoff valve in the shower head until I figured out what brand I want to replace this with. So now I get to tear open my wall again and replace the whole assembly!! I wish delta would upgrade these cheaply made cartridges so they’d actually last more than a few months

Shower head leak
I've had to replace shower handle and kitchen head on sink thus year 2024.
I'm so glad I bought Delta sink and shower for new home. It's been 14yrs and I just started getting drips or leaks. Every time I call delta I get the most polite service from their help line. They are always respectful and knowledgeable also very easy to talk to. Every time I've received my part it arrived within 2 or 3 days after first call...
Thank you Delta for keeping with live people on other end of the phone. Thank you for thinking of your customer's.

Leaking New Shower
I had our new home built less than two years ago and have replaced the springs in the Cartridge and the plumber is telling me now the cartridge needs to be replaced. How can this be bad already??

CHANGE AT LEAST TWICE A YEAR
PURCHASED FOR MY SECOND HOME... EVERY YEAR WE HAVE TO CHANGE.. SOMETIMES MULTIPLE TIMES IF THE WATER IF OFF FOR A LONG PERIOD OF TIME. GREY PLASTIC PIECE BREAKS EVERYTIME.. I HAVE TO KEEP 5 INSTOCK. IS THERE ANOTHER ALTERNATIVE???

Poor quality valve and or cartridge
I purchased the Delta R1000-UNBX with the RP46074 cartridge because I believed Delta to be the best. Since the purchase and installation I have experienced nothing but problems with this assembly! It has leaked almost from the beginning. I have flushed it, I have gotten replacement springs and o-rings and they help for a short period but then it starts leaking again! I looked up the cost for a replacement cartridge and it's $72! I would also like to point out that my home has a 3 stage water filtration system so there is no sediment coming in from our community well system. I have Delta products throughout our home but none of the faucets or valve assemblies have these issues. I am beginning to believe there must be a defect with this valve and based on the reviews I have read, I am not the only one not satisfied!

Leaky in less than a year.
This faucet is only at a year old and leaks and drips and runs up my water bill. It is very pricey for the parts for them to do the same thing. Thinking of replacing the whole thing from Delta. I thought Delta was high quality but it’s getting so expensive.
