Is this what I need to replace crystal ball type handle on 1400 series shower?
Are there any additional parts I will need? We are not having any issues, just a cosmetic update to a mid 1990's faucet.

Thank you for your question. This handle will work in a 1400 series shower unit and should be the only part you need to switch the handle.

HOW TO INCREASE TEMPERATURE
Thank you for your question. The 1300/1400 series faucets have a rotational limit stop that may need to be adjusted to allow more hot water to flow through the valve. Included here are the instructions for adjusting the limit stop. The directions are on page 8.

Which part specifically is the coordinating faceplate(?) for the shower handle in this series?

Thank you for your question about the Delta Faucet handle RP61268SS.
This handle is a replacement for trim models T14092SS, T14292SS & T14492SS.
Unfortunately, the matching faceplate or escutcheon RP61267SS is discontinued. RP100371SSPR AND RP49089SS can be used instead. See parts diagrams here for more information:
