Cheap plastic limit stop
For every day use it’s a nice controller but it’s so cheaply made. The plastic temperature limit stop behind the outer temperature handle is made of plastic and has broken twice in 12 months. For the price this cost it’s junk.

Functional but not impressive
It works. Doesn't feel especially solid, and operation is counterintuitive for most of our guests. Also far too expensive given the material and that you'll still need to buy the valve body separately.

Great Valve, diverter, and thermostat
I love the ability to set the temperature one time and forget it. every time I use the shower all I have to do is turn it on and the temperature is perfect.

Hi there, I am purchasing the Raincan 52687-CZ & Shower head 54710-CZ-PK. Are both the T27T856-CZ & T27859-CZ diverter trims compatible for use with these? In addition to the R22000-WS are there any other parts required? Thank you.
Thank you for your question, Ruth! Yes, the 52687-CZ shower head, and the 54710-CZ-PK shower head are compatible with model T27859-CZ. You would not need any additional components, besides the R22000-WS rough in valve.

What is the difference between a Delta T27T859-RB and a Delta T27859-RB? There is a substantial difference in cost.
Thank you for your inquiry, Grunt! The Delta Contemporary T27859-RB model is a integrated 17 series shower with combined 3-setting diverter. The model T27T859-RB is the same type of system however, this is a 17T TempAssure series which uses a thermostatic cartridge. This cartridge measures and monitors the temperature of the water and automatically adjusts to maintain a more precise water temperature within ± 3.6˚F.

Were/how/what do I get a valve for a T17051?

Diverter not working
Just finished installation and for some reason the diverter isn't functioning correctly.
When I turn it turn it to the 3rd position the water flow from both the handheld and the shower head shuts off. We installed our handheld to go from the top right port (plugged the top left). Now that I'm thinking about it that seems to be the issue.
Also, the temperature control is somewhat acting as a diverter and I am getting a lot of noise from the pipes.
Can I simply get a six way diverter to utilize the top right port? Or even better rotate the diverter cartridge 180 degrees? Or do I have a bigger problem at hand? Thanks!
Thank you for your question, Nick. For a 3-Setting Diverter, the right port of the valve must be capped. The diverter cartridge cannot be rotated to allow flow to the right port. However, you may install a 6-Setting RP51919 cartridge in order to use the right port. Note that there will be non-functioning and redundant settings and the handle will not align with the position markings on the escutcheon plate.

Removing the lower temp control cap
The lower cap snaps on - how do you remove it?

Thank you for your question. To remove the temperatue knob cover on the Delta T27859 17 series faucet model, you will need to use your fingers grip the edges of the round portion of the cap and then lift up from the bottom to the top to remove. Please see page 6 module 4 of the below Maintenance/Installation link, for the directions and diagrams.

Can I use the T27989 6 diverter with just a shower head and hand shower or do I need the T27859?

Can the diverter cartridge be swapped to allow for 6 setting control?

Thank you for your question. Yes, the 6 setting cartridge assembly (RP51919) can be used in the Delta 17 Series with 3-setting diverter trim kit T27859. All six setting markings will just not be indicated/shown on the escutcheon plate.
