Rated 3 out of 5 by from Not so great I bought the product and installed on Jul 2017. Last week - 11 Oct, the wall mount faucet was leaking water; meaning that even if this is off, the extended faucet is still draining water when it is on. I called Delta customer service and they sent me a new part for free without hassle. The reason why I rate this 3 is because it "broke" in 3 months. It was easy to install the parts if you have the tools. If you are not a handyperson or do not have the tools you will probably spend money for the plumber to replace the parts for 2 minutes. I still love the design and its purpose.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent customer service The pot filler works well and is very well made. One of the two valves leaked a bit so I called customer service and they immediately sent out a replacement valve assembly. It took all of five minutes to replace. I am very impressed that Delta backs their products like this.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Favorite part of the remodel This pot filler was purchased for a historic homes custom kitchen remodel. It's absolutely stunning in champagne bronze and is the homeowners favorite feature! If you have been on the fence about a pot filler, do not hesitate! This product is well worth it and will add a stunning touch to your kitchen.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from This product is very useful when it comes to filling large pots without leaving the range top area. The faucet provides a lot of usefulness in the kitchen area. The only draw back to the product is when it is folded against the wall you have to be careful how far you push it back as I have hit the tile back splash on several occasions and thinking I had cracked the back splash. I put a rubber piece on the top part to keep it from hitting the wall.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Delta 1177LF watch out for these issues The faucet is real nice looking and seems durable enough. However, if you want a perfect fit and finish, don't follow the instructions! The instructions tell you to leave the 1/2" nipple stubbed out 1/2" beyond finished surface. I was doing a subway tile backsplash and I had to rough this faucet piping in long before the subway tile would go in, so I took a tile and put a piece of cardboard behind it to simulate thinset. I then set the nipple exactly 1/2" beyond the face of the tile. I started thinking about how far the faucet would thread onto a 1/2" nipple and realized, that in real life, only about 5/16 to 3/8" of an inch of threads get used up when threading the faucet on. The way this is designed, a chrome escutcheon slips over the valve body before you thread the faucet on and this should hide the area around the faucet thread boss and the hole in the wall. Unfortunately, the 1/2" Delta tells you to leave, is way too much and the escutcheon goes too deep, exposing the rough threaded area of the valve body. Also, the escutcheon is supposed to friction fit around the valve body, having an oring around the inner circumference, however the inside diameter of the escutcheon is bigger than the outside diameter of the valve body. Additionally, the valve body is tapered, getting larger towards the threaded connection. Its maximum diameter is at the very end, where it abruptly drops off down to the thread boss. This is where the escutcheon is supposed to grab the valve body. In order for the escutcheon to have even a chance of looking right, you have to have the faucet threaded on exactly the right depth, or the escutcheon will not sit on the largest part of the valve body. Terrible design, weak directions and escutcheon is bigger than valve body. I called Delta, but they have no clue. Hint, stub out 1/4" heavy instead of 1/2". There is no room for error or you will have problems. I got it to work, but I spent hours dry fitting and adjusting the nipple to make it work.

Is this pot filler compatible with reverse osmosis-filtered water?

Asked by: Ben
Hi Ben, Thank you for your question. Unfortunately, this faucet has not been tested with a reverse osmosis system. The faucet can be used, but low PH water provided by the R/O system may affect the internal o-rings over time. Best regards, Jon

Valve Orientation

I have installed this pot filler slightly right of the cook top so it is centered a little better when folded. When folded the top valve (closest to where the water is dispensed) points directly at the back wall when folded if it is in the "closed" position. This means that if I fold the pot filler back and leave it in the closed position the end would hit my wall. Can this be changed so the valve points forward instead of backward? Also, I though it was odd that a clockwise turn caused the water to turn on instead of off, like most faucets. Can this be changed/adjusted?
Asked by: TY
Thank you for your question, TY. While the direction of the handle rotation cannot be changed, you can change the position of the handle when it is off. To do this, turn off supplies, then remove the cap and screw. Pull off the handle, then reinstall it onto the spines where you would like it in the off position. Best regards, Jon

Asked by: mike
Hi, Mike, Thank you for your question. I am sorry to hear about your leak. We would recommend a new valve cartridge, RP74972, to fix this leak at the pivot. Best Regards, Rosanna

Why is this product not available in and not shipped to CA?

I can't buy it here in CA and nobody will ship it here - why?
Asked by: Phil W
Hello Phil W, Thank you for your question. Due to recent California mandates, faucets installed in the kitchen and lavatory are required to have a flow rate of 1.2 GPM or less. Delta model 1177LF-SS has a flow rate of 4.0 GPM. Best Regards, Courtney
