Rated 5 out of 5 by from Repair leaking swivel. Pot filler repair. Leaking at the swivel. Three, #80 rubber O-rings. Use allen key to remove two screws on the wall plate. Turn potfiller counter clock wise to remove from wall. On the bottom of the swivel, there is a decorative plate that can be removed. Once removed, there is an allen bolt. I think it’s 1/4” allen wrench. It’s very tight. I had to use a vice to turn the bolt. Once loosened, you can pop out the stem and there are 3 rubber o-rings. Replace those with #80 size o-ring. Make sure to use pipe tape on the wall plate when installing back.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Replacement o-ring size for swing arm in review. Love my pot filler 1177LF ! Delta however does not offer replacement o-rings when it started leaking but I found what I needed and repaired it. I disassembled my leaky pot filler and measured the o-rings in the arm joints where it was leaking with a micrometer. There are three o-rings per swivel joint. Based on my measurements I ordered Rubber O-Rings size 20mm OD - 14mm ID and 3mm Width from AMZ. You need six but order extra if you damage one during install. The replacement was easy. Turn off the water at the valve closest to the wall. Open the valve at the end to drain any water. Pop off the decretive caps and using a proper size allen (hex) wrench unscrew the connection at the wall valve first. Remove the pot filler. Unscrew the second joint. Remove the old o-ring that is closest to the threads on the brass insert first. Then remove / unscrew the insert completely. You may need to gently push it out with a wooden dowel and rubber mallet. Remove the last two o-rings from each insert. Clean any mineral buildup from ALL parts. I used white vinegar. Dry then lube ALL parts with a small amount food grade silicone grease before and after installing the o-rings to assist with assembly and o-ring wear. Replace just the first two o-rings farthest away from the threads first. Install the inserts back into the pot filler arms. It will be a tight fit. This is where the silicone lube and rubber mallet if needed come in handy. Use a wooden block or socket so you do not damage the brass threads when pushing the inserts through and out the other side. I also slowly twisted the insert with the hex wrench while pushing back in to prevent o-ring damage. Once they are all the way through add the last o-ring. If you try to put all three o-rings on first you will damage the o-ring closest to the threads while pushing the insert back in. Re attach the filler swivel arms pieces first and then the filler back to the wall valve. Tighten securely but do not over tighten. Check for leaks by shutting off the outer valve and turning on the wall valve. Retighten with hex wrench as needed. No leaks? Replace the beauty caps and run the water in a large pot to flush out any excess grease. After replacing the o-rings my pot filler was a bit stiff to move but no longer leaks! :)

Q&A

at what height should i leave the 1/2 pipe sticking out of the wall

delta 1177LF-SS pot filler
Asked by: bob
Hi Bob, Thank you for your question. We do not have a recommended height at which to install the 1177LF-SS pot filler. Appliance height, cabinet height, and other variables affect the placement of the faucet. Thanks, Dave

Can a water filter such as PUR be attached to this pot filler?

Asked by: Cynthia
Hello, Cynthia! Thanks for your question. A water filter can be installed onto this 1177LF Pot Filler faucet as long as it has compatible connections. However, we do not recommend to add a water filter to a Pot Filler faucet as it will greatly decrease the flow of water to fill a pot, etc. Best Regards, Rosanna

If the pot filler is placed in the middle of the stovetop/range, would the heat from the range damage the valve of the pot filler?

Asked by: Ali
Hi Ali, Thank you for your question. As long as the external temperature does not exceed 150 degrees the model 1177LF-SS faucet will not be affected. We recommend folding the pot filler back to the wall and away from the stove top when not in use. thanks, Dave

Inverted nstall possible?

Is it possible to install "inverted" like this picture? The delta spout would of course be rotated 180 degrees. This would make sure the first arm could clear even the ttallest pot that may be next to the wall while filling a pot on the front side of the stove.
Asked by: Eric
Hi Eric, Thank you for your question. Both arms can be rotated over 180 degrees, so the spout can be positioned on the right or left. I hope this answers your question! Best regards, Jon

I only see pictures of the pot filler mounted on the left. Can we mount it on the right side? Do the arms pivot either direction?

What are the dimensions of each arm? Is the top arm longer?
Asked by: Mike_Jen
Hi Mike_Jen, Thank you for your question. The spout on the model 1177LF can swing to either the right or left hand side. The bottom arm center to center is 9.72" long, the top arm center to center is 12.34" long. The top arm is longer. Thanks, Dave

How many Inches to the Left or Right of the center would the water supply have to be to have the pot fill centered Left to Right when folded against the wall? There is not enough information on the Spec sheet for this to be figured.

Asked by: Sunshine
Hi, Sunshine! Thank you for your question. The longest fold for left and right of the Delta 1177LF-RB Pot Filler measures 11 3/8" (289 mm). We recommend measuring the center on your wall for the best reach and fold application. Best Regards, Rosanna

Valve Orientation

I have installed this pot filler slightly right of the cook top so it is centered a little better when folded. When folded the top valve (closest to where the water is dispensed) points directly at the back wall when folded if it is in the "closed" position. This means that if I fold the pot filler back and leave it in the closed position the end would hit my wall. Can this be changed so the valve points forward instead of backward? Also, I though it was odd that a clockwise turn caused the water to turn on instead of off, like most faucets. Can this be changed/adjusted?
Asked by: TY
Thank you for your question, TY. While the direction of the handle rotation cannot be changed, you can change the position of the handle when it is off. To do this, turn off supplies, then remove the cap and screw. Pull off the handle, then reinstall it onto the spines where you would like it in the off position. Best regards, Jon

The arms on my pot filler are not parallel when in the closed position. The elbows are tight, with no play in them(as they should be). How can this be fixed?  I haven’t installed it yet.  Thanks

Asked by: BobbyR
Hi, BobbyR! Thank you for your question. The 1177LF pot filler should fold and arms should be parallel. The elbows should not be tight and fold smoothly. We do recommend to return back to the store if this one is not working correctly, as it should. Best Regards, Rosanna
