Directions were very confusingIllustrations were poor. The manual gives different views but not complete for both models listed.

How do you recommend lubricating the cartridge / handle movement? It was very fluid when new, but after a few months, it’s become “sticky,” so precise adjustments to flow rate / temp are hard to make.
Asked by: CornCob
Hi CornCob,
Thank you for your question about the Delta Faucet model 19805Z-SD-DST. Please accept our sincere apology for the inconvenience you are experiencing. We are happy to help!
The issue would be caused by water debris trapped in the cartridge. We recommend flushing the faucet. The first step is to remove the aerator, wand, or hose and run the faucet for a couple of minutes.
Next, to further flush the cartridge, turn the supply off to both the hot and cold-water lines. Once off, turn the handle on the faucet to the on position and leave it there to bleed the lines of any excess water. Next, disconnect the hot water supply line and place it inside a bucket. Once the line is securely positioned into the bucket, turn on the cold-water supply.
Since the handle was left in the on position, the water will flow up the cold supply line, through the faucet cartridge, and back down the hot water line into the bucket. Leave this flowing for at least 30 seconds. After flushing, reconnect the hot water line and repeat this process with the cold water line to ensure all particles have been removed from both supplies.
If the issue remains after flushing, the RP73000 cartridge may need to be replaced.
Please contact us directly for further assistance or if you have any additional questions!
