Great faucet
Purchased this faucet when our other faucet started giving trouble. I’m a DIY person so I installed it myself. The instructions were very basic and generic and I had to read them a few times to make sure I was following the correct way for my setup. If self installing, make sure to take your time reading and looking at the very basic pictures. I almost gave the rating 4 stars because of the instructions, but the faucet is great so far. The setup with the soap dispenser was perfect for replacing my older faucet that had a separate hose. We love the 3 different water spray options. We were replacing a faucet with a separate hot/cold handles and didn’t know how going to 1 handle would work. But so far so good. We like how the kit came with a base to cover our old 2 handle holes on our countertops. The retractable hose works as expected and better than what we had before. We’re pleased with the purchased so far. Would recommend.

What kind of soap for the soap dispenser?

You can use any type of soap you prefer, aside from soaps that contain bleach, foaming hand soap. If the soap you decide to use is a litle thick, we recommend duliting it with at least two tablespoons of water.

I have very low flow output. The faucet has been in service for about 6 months. Per the manual, I took out the screen and cleaned it (however it looked perfect) and reinstalled - no change. What else can I check?

How can I improve water flow/pressure in my kitchen faucet. It is extremely low as compared to the water flow/pressure in the rest of my house so I think it must be in the faucet itself.

Handle set screw does not line up or seem to be long enough on Allen kitchen faucet. What am I doing wrong?

The screw traps the handle between the cartridge stem and the screw flange.
1. Thread the self-tapping screw into the bottom of the cartridge stem leaving at least a 1/8" gap using a 1/8" hex key.
2. Push the handle onto the stem.
3. Finish tightening the screw with a 1/8" hex key to secure the handle.

What are the dimensions of the deck plates that are included with some faucets? I specifically need the length of them to see if they’ll cover existing holes in my sink.

The length of the included deck plate is 10", which is typical of our kitchen faucets. Our kitchen faucet escutcheons or deck plates are for three holes with the centers of the right and left holes 8" apart.

It is possible this issue can be resolved by cleaning the product. We recommend you try soaking the product in a 50/50 solution of water and white distilled vinegar. This could break up any possible calcium buildup inside.

My faucet constantly fluctuates from hot to cold water when the faucet handle is in the "full hot" position. This is not a hot water problem, as all other faucets in my home do not do this, and my previous kitchen faucet did not do this either.

To install Alpen 19814Z-spsd-dst using the optional method, do I use the sponge like ring that appears to be pictured in boxes labeled with a 1 in a circle under Single hole mounting? This white sponge ring is attached to a white sponge circle.
