If the underpart of the counter is smooth, we would recommend using a small piece of sand paper to allow for a grit texture to tighten against. No, there is no finish that is fingerprint resistant and we do not manufacture or recommend applying any print-resistant spray to the finish. Allowing water to evaporate on the surface can lead to the build-up of mineral deposits, and we recommend blotting the faucet dry after use to prevent this from happening. However, water spots and fingerprints can be easily cleaned by wiping the finish with a damp cloth. If additional cleaning is needed, we recommend using a 50/50 solution of white vinegar and water. Our products have a Limited Lifetime Warranty that covers parts (other than electronic parts and batteries) and finishes of Delta® faucets purchased from authorized Delta sellers to the original consumer purchaser to be free from defects in material and workmanship for as long as the original consumer purchaser owns the home in which the faucet was first installed. We would recommend soaking the product in a 50/50 solution of water and white distilled vinegar. This could break up any possible calcium buildup inside. Our soap dispensers can use liquid dish soap, liquid hand soap, alcohol-based hand-sanitizer, and even typical hand lotions. Foaming soap dispensers have a chamber that allows for the soap to foam and our soap dispenser do not have this chamber. Here is what we can do to resolve your issue for you. A leak can be caused by debris in the faucet and cartridge, which would not allow the cartridge to seal properly. We would recommend flushing the unit, wiping the puck, and soaking the cartridge in a 50/50 solution of white vinegar and water. Please see the step-by-step instructions below. To flush the unit, we recommend the following: Start with the easy stuff: Check the supply lines: Turn the supply off to both the hot and cold-water lines. Once off, turn the handle on the faucet to the on position and leave it there to bleed the lines of any excess water. Next, disconnect the hot water supply line and place it inside a bucket. Once the line is securely positioned into the bucket, turn on the cold-water supply, then do this with the hot waterside. Once the flush has been done, please reconnect both water lines. Lastly, insert a small screwdriver into the slot in the button and remove it. Loosen the set screw inside the handle. Remove handle. Remove cap by rotating counterclockwise. Bonnet may be stiff due to O-ring but should rotate by hand. Remove the bonnet nut by rotating counterclockwise with a wrench. Remove the cartridge by pulling it directly back on the stem. Take a soft cloth and wipe the puck located behind the cartridge, let the cartridge soak in a 50/50 mixture of white vinegar and water for about 10 minutes before reassembling. This should fix the leak you are having, but if you find the issue remains, the cartridge would need to be replaced. Thank you for being a loyal Delta Faucet customer.
