Love it!
I had this faucet installed a few weeks ago and I am so happy that I did so. It looks great with my stainless steel sink and works nicely. I like the height of the faucet, allowing greater ease when filling deep pots or washing cookie sheets. A great purchase.

Spigot fell apart after less than a year.
My wife went to pivot the spigot yesterday and the entire thing came off and shot water everywhere. Less than a year old and not the cheapest faucet in the store. Tried calling support and am currently on hold going on 20 minutes. I guess I'll give up and purchase another brand that will last.

Horrible cheap faucet
This newly purchased faucet is cheaply made and emits a high pitched (tea kettle) sound when the hot water is turned on all the way. I paid $69 for the faucet plus an installation charge. The worst household fixture purchase I've ever made!

Inner parts are plastic
I bought this at the Home Depot and it looked like a quality faucet. I guess the engineers at Delta try to fool the public by using quality materials for the exterior, and then use cheap plastic parts inside the faucet to cut cost. I would pay twice as much to get the same Delta quality my parents had in the 70's. I apparently pushed the handle to hard when I turned off the water and I felt a snap. Now the handle rotates 360 degrees. Took the handle off to find all cracked plastic. Now the spout is leaking at the base. The lifetime warranty just means they will keep sending me replacement parts until I finally give up. I dont have the time for this and work to hard to waste my money.

Thank you for your inquiry! The Delta Foundations Kitchen faucet 21988LF-OB can be installed without the side vegetable sprayer. However, you would need to purchase the RP60295, to cap off the nipple below the faucet.

Is the strainer removable on model #21988lf?

Howdy, Are the spout, handles, & base of this faucet made of brass, or is the finish applied to a different base metal? I've read that the sprayer is plastic, but is the rest of the faucet all metal? Much obliged, Matt

The specs on model 21988lf faucet state 1/2" line from the wall to the facet. Does that get reduced before the water comes out the spout? I have a gravity feed water system with lower water pressure than typical city water systems.NEED 1/2"
Thank you for your question, john! Model 21988lf uses 1/2" IPS connections. There may be a slight reduction on the inlet nipple; however, this model is designed to produce 1.80 gpm @ 60 psi or 6.8 L/min @ 414 kPa. If you are not getting this flow rate, there will be a decreased flow regardless.
