Great Faucet
Overall, it’s a pretty good product. I’ve used them before, right now I’m having a problem I thought was with the aerator, but it seems to be coming through the thread. I put new washers on it. It still does it today. I just bought a new aerator and it’s doing the same thing so I think it’s the faucet part itself the threading.

Very stylish
The faucet is a great price for the quality you get. It is stylish and looks great in my kitchen. Very easy to install. It's a little smaller than my previous faucet which was the Windemere. I like Delta products because whenever I have had a problem customer service was always helpful and they stand behind their warranty.

Looks good, handles feel like quality
The hand held hose sprayer is weak. It’s a fan like spray and my older Delta was much better. It had a direct powerful spray.
I found out after my purchase that I could have gotten delta free replacement washers and things replaced via you guarantee
I am still thinking of replacing this new faucet & hand sprayer ..it’s frustrating by comparison! Yet, I have got to figure out how to determine the sprayer function direct vs fan spray before I blow more cash. 😤🤷🏻♂️

Will this kitchen faucet corrode, especially around base, with hard well water & water softener. Our 10 yr. Old sink is stainless steel & has not corroded.

Although our finishes are extremely durable, they may be damaged by harsh abrasives or polish. To clean, we recommend simply wiping with a gentle damp cloth and then blotting dry with a soft towel.
If water deposits are especially troublesome, you may use a 50/50 mixture of white vinegar and water to remove them. White vinegar is strong enough to dissolve mineral deposits, yet mild enough not to damage our finishes.
Note: Please be aware white vinegar may stain some porous materials like untreated stone. If you have an unsealed tile or counter top, please take care when cleaning your products.
If you’d prefer using a chemical cleaning product, our finishes may be cleaned with the following household cleaners: Formula 409® Antibacterial All-Purpose Cleaner, Fantastic® All-Purpose Cleaner, or Windex® Original Glass Cleaner, when used according to the manufacturer’ instructions.
Any cleaners not listed above may be tried if they do not contain hydrofluoric, hydrochloric and/or phosphoric acids or similar caustic agents. Some examples of chemical cleaners to avoid are: green Scotch-Brite Heavy Duty Scrub Sponges, Scrubbing Bubbles Bathroom Cleaner and Lysol Basin Tub, and Soft Scrub and Tile Cleaner.
Note: Any products that state on the label that they remove tarnish and rust will most likely harm the finished products.
Most drain cleaners may be used when following their specific directions and not allowing exposure to the finish longer than 30 minutes.

Handle screw/bolt part number for 21988LF faucet
My handle broke and I need the part number for the brass bolt with one end threaded and the other end splined with the chrome finish knob/end attached. I was able to get the threaded part out of the handle base so just need the bolt.
It looks like part RP26852 which is 3.05 inches long and mine is more like 2.5 inches, end to end. Thanks Tim
Hi Tim, Thank you for your question. The spindle and finial for the RP42995 handles on the model 21988LF faucet is not available as a separate item. The entire handle assembly would have to be replaced.

Thank you for your inquiry! The Delta Foundations Kitchen faucet 21988LF-OB can be installed without the side vegetable sprayer. However, you would need to purchase the RP60295, to cap off the nipple below the faucet.

I did not out the sprayer holder on.How do I remove the snap on connection to the water supply to put the sprayer hose through the holder?
Reach up at the very top of the connection and squeeze the two tabs together and gently pull down on the hose. They only move about .05" inward, but it will release.

How come I can't buy a replacement spout for this faucet?
I tried to mount a PUR water filter on it using the correct adapter, but no matter how much plumber's tape I put on or how tight I tried to make it, the connection always leaked. I decided to remove it and just use the sink normally, but I damaged the end of the spout removing the adapter. I like the faucet and don't want to have to buy an entirely new one just for the spout as the spout is really well designed for a quick disconnect. It appears that no one sells the spout separately and I'm not sure why. Can I get a replacement spout from you?

Why don't you print on your box that this is made out of plastic and not chrome? I was very upset when I found this out - after it had been installed.
Hi Treetracker, Thank you for your question. The model 21988LF is a metal faucet. The spout, handles, escutcheon base and valve body are metal. The side sprayer and mount are plastic components.

Thick deck extension?
Is there a thick deck extension for this faucet? I can find a lot of other Delta faucet deck extension but none for this model. Will a extension kit for another model work? I only need to extend the hot and cold connections a small amount.

How do I disconnect the sprayer so I can reroute the hose?

Thank you for your question. The Delta 21988LF Faucet sprayer hose can be removed by pushing in the two tabs at the connection, much like a clothespin. Once pushed in, push up at the connection. This will release the hose from the valve end. The hose can now be pulled down and removed.

Thank you for your question, Suzi! You may connect a portable dishwasher to the spout using the right adapter. We do not make an adapter for this faucet, but the thread size of the spout is 55/64"-27 male.

Hello! I had Model 21988LF installed today. It looks great! But when I turn the handles on, there is a brief 'clunk' sound. Maybe even a little bit of a shake (like a quick jerk, as the water begins to flow). Any ideas what is going on? Thanks!

How to clean the aerator on model 21988lf

Thank you for your inquiry! The aerator of the Delta Foundations Kitchen 21988LF faucet should just unscrew from the spout. If, there is build-up from mineral deposits. To break those loose, we recommend cleaning with a 50/50 solution of white vinegar and water. We suggest letting it soak overnight, and then rinsing to wash the deposits away.

I just replace my older Delta Kitchen Faucet with the 21988LF and the adjustable Mounted Water Filter does not fit this new Model.

Thank you for your question. Delta Faucet model # 21988LF has an aerator with a thread size of 55/64"-27. We do not have any filters to recommend but you will need the thread size above to make sure that it fits properly.

The specs on model 21988lf faucet state 1/2" line from the wall to the facet. Does that get reduced before the water comes out the spout? I have a gravity feed water system with lower water pressure than typical city water systems.NEED 1/2"
Thank you for your question, john! Model 21988lf uses 1/2" IPS connections. There may be a slight reduction on the inlet nipple; however, this model is designed to produce 1.80 gpm @ 60 psi or 6.8 L/min @ 414 kPa. If you are not getting this flow rate, there will be a decreased flow regardless.

Thank you for your question. The sprayer assembly for the Delta 21988LF Faucet is part number RP54807. This does include the hose assembly as they are not individual parts on their own. The difference between the sprayer assemblies for each faucet is determined by the hose connections to the valve under the faucet.
