Simple yet functional
A nice no-frills faucet. It swivels smoothly, and the hand spray attachment has a great tactile feedback. Operable clearance for filling large pots without having to get creative.

Love it!
I had this faucet installed a few weeks ago and I am so happy that I did so. It looks great with my stainless steel sink and works nicely. I like the height of the faucet, allowing greater ease when filling deep pots or washing cookie sheets. A great purchase.

Disappointed one from
Spigot fell apart after less than a year.
My wife went to pivot the spigot yesterday and the entire thing came off and shot water everywhere. Less than a year old and not the cheapest faucet in the store. Tried calling support and am currently on hold going on 20 minutes. I guess I'll give up and purchase another brand that will last.

Very nice looking faucet
Purchased this faucet a month ago, and the hot water flowed very slowly. Called the customer service center, and they worked with me. After a couple of week the hot water is flowing as it should. Thanks Delta

Horrible cheap faucet
This newly purchased faucet is cheaply made and emits a high pitched (tea kettle) sound when the hot water is turned on all the way. I paid $69 for the faucet plus an installation charge. The worst household fixture purchase I've ever made!

Inner parts are plastic
I bought this at the Home Depot and it looked like a quality faucet. I guess the engineers at Delta try to fool the public by using quality materials for the exterior, and then use cheap plastic parts inside the faucet to cut cost. I would pay twice as much to get the same Delta quality my parents had in the 70's. I apparently pushed the handle to hard when I turned off the water and I felt a snap. Now the handle rotates 360 degrees. Took the handle off to find all cracked plastic. Now the spout is leaking at the base. The lifetime warranty just means they will keep sending me replacement parts until I finally give up. I dont have the time for this and work to hard to waste my money.

I bought this faucet to replace an older Delta faucet that could not be fixed. I knew I wanted two handles and the large swan neck. But really love the polished nickel finish. Actually like it better than the older Delta faucet I had.

Nice look
I love the faucet, the neck come right in the sink so its nice to wash dishes with. the water flow is nice. and I just love the look of it. Main reason for buying was because of the shape of the neck, less mess with water , the water stays in the sink.

Foundations sink faucet.
I bought this faucet and had it installed. Shortly thereafter the sprayer head leaked. Delta was very quick to fix the issue by sending me a new spay head assembly.

I've had it for more than 4 years and it's a great leak free faucet with smooth operating handles. The sprayer did develope a small leak and Delta sent me a replacement, no questions asked. Excellent product and even better customer service.

Q&A
Can you tell me what the part number is and how to order a replacement screen at the tip of the faucet number 21988LF? Thanks
Thank you for your question, SB3317. The screen is included with the RP74130 Aerator Assembly.
Best regards, Jon

Handle screw/bolt part number for 21988LF faucet
My handle broke and I need the part number for the brass bolt with one end threaded and the other end splined with the chrome finish knob/end attached. I was able to get the threaded part out of the handle base so just need the bolt.
It looks like part RP26852 which is 3.05 inches long and mine is more like 2.5 inches, end to end. Thanks Tim
Hi Tim, Thank you for your question. The spindle and finial for the RP42995 handles on the model 21988LF faucet is not available as a separate item. The entire handle assembly would have to be replaced.
Thanks,
Dave

Model # 21988LF. The base is leaking. What repair kit do I need? Is there a video I can watch to help me repair.
Hi, AD123.
Thank you for your question, and I am sorry to hear that you are experiencing an issue with your Delta 21988LF faucet. The part number for the o-ring repair kit is RP41700. We do not have a video to show the repair for this but here is a link to the manual for the faucet:

Please contact us back if you should need further assistance with this.

Can the faucet and handles be installed directly on the sink without the base?
Dear Pickle,
Thank you for you installation inquiry. The escutcheon/base plate of the Delta Foundations Kitchen 21988LF faucet is apart of the full faucet valve, it is not removable.
Best regards,
Tanya

I did not out the sprayer holder on.How do I remove the snap on connection to the water supply to put the sprayer hose through the holder?
Reach up at the very top of the connection and squeeze the two tabs together and gently pull down on the hose. They only move about .05" inward, but it will release.

How come I can't buy a replacement spout for this faucet?
I tried to mount a PUR water filter on it using the correct adapter, but no matter how much plumber's tape I put on or how tight I tried to make it, the connection always leaked. I decided to remove it and just use the sink normally, but I damaged the end of the spout removing the adapter. I like the faucet and don't want to have to buy an entirely new one just for the spout as the spout is really well designed for a quick disconnect. It appears that no one sells the spout separately and I'm not sure why. Can I get a replacement spout from you?
Thanks.
J
Hi JFW, Thank you for your question. Unfortunately the spout to the model 21988LF is not available as a replacement part. The entire faucet would have to be ordered.
Thanks,
Dave

Information left out
Why don't you print on your box that this is made out of plastic and not chrome? I was very upset when I found this out - after it had been installed.
Hi Treetracker, Thank you for your question. The model 21988LF is a metal faucet. The spout, handles, escutcheon base and valve body are metal. The side sprayer and mount are plastic components.
Thanks,
Dave

Thick deck extension?
Is there a thick deck extension for this faucet? I can find a lot of other Delta faucet deck extension but none for this model. Will a extension kit for another model work? I only need to extend the hot and cold connections a small amount.
Thank you for your inquiry, Tim! Delta does not manufacture a thick deck mounting kit for the Foundations Kitchen 21988LF faucet. This faucet requires a maximum deck thickness of 1 5/16" (33mm). Below, is the link for the technical specification sheet to show you the max deck thickness for the faucet.
