EASY TO INSTALL
I REPLACED A MOEN WITH THIS UNIT BECAUSE IT IS VERY HARD FOR A DIY PERSON TO DEAL WITH THE SPECIAL TOOLS REQUIRED TO WORK ON A MOEN UNIT.
IT WAS VERY HARD TO REMOVE THEMOEN UNIT.
THE DELTA WENT IN VERY EASY AND IF NECESSARY WILL BE EASY TO WORK ON.

A good faucet
We purchased this faucet to replace a faucet we had for over 20 years. The installation was easy and the faucet performs as we expected. We like the longer neck and the double handle controls and hope this faucet lasts as long as the last one. I would recommend Delta.

Met all expectations
Very happy with this faucet. Replaced another name brad when that one went bad. This one has great water flow, love the space we have with the arc, looks great with stainless sink, and was easy to install!!

Looks better than it feels
Just installed this faucet today to replace an old delta faucet that started to leak. Installation was your typical faucet install, fairly simple. Got it all hooked up and was admiring the polished chrome up until I went to turn it on......This product feels so flimsy as it has way too much play in the handles and spout. The tolerances on this faucet are not tight at all which make this a huge disappointment for me.

Rich appearance and versitility
I like that to shut off water flow, it is not necessary to tighten fully. The high "J" spout gives greater flexibility in its use. One limitation appears that the handle's stability could be and should have greater strength. In short, handles appear to loosen over time plus the upright stem that the handle is screwed into seem loose.

Not like the old Delta faucets
I replaced an old 1986 Delta two knob kitchen faucet with this new faucet. Looking at the new faucet before installing looked about the same quality as what I was replacing.
After the install I realized that the stem portion of each control valve along with the outlet of the spout was very wobbly. I tighten the outlet bezel around the spout to try an reduce the amount of wobble. To my surprise I started hearing a cracking sound coming from the chrome base. I surmise the base is about half the thickness as my old faucet.
As far as both control stems, if you push them sideways with one finger you can see them move significantly.
The faucet preforms otherwise as it should. My old faucet lasted 29 years. I suspect this new faucet will be lucky to last 8 or 9 years.
I realize it has a lifetime warranty. But the cost of the faucet is secondary compared to the actual labor of replacement.
My whole house has had Delta faucets as a first choice since 1982. This new faucet will make me look a little closer at other manufactures rather than just going automatically with Delta.

Great Looking!
We are very picky people and it took us months to find a faucet to match our Orange sink. Yes, I said orange! This faucet has excellent quality, style and is at a very good price! Easy to install and arrived quickly! Highly Recommended!

My Husband Keeps Commenting on How Much He Likes This Faucet
My old faucet started leaking and spraying water all over the kitchen. It was not a Delta. My plumber told me to go buy something I liked since I was the one who was going to have to live with it.
I researched my alternatives online and found this Delta faucet. I liked the look and the price. I bought it and the plumber installed it yesterday.
My husband never comments on anything in the house and he has commented several times how much he likes the look of this faucet.
It looks nice. It doesn't leak or drip. When you turn it off, it's off.

We are pleased!
This faucet was easy to install and functions properly. The faucet we replaced was old and very hard to uninstall. We have a dual sink setup and being able to move the spout is wonderful. The instructions were well written and the packaging was nice too! We like being able to sign up for online support and warranty. We will buy Delta from now on. Well done!

This faucet was an excellent price, nice design, the neck of the faucet is big enough to put kettles under it without having to tilt it. And this life time guarente is a big pluss. We have hard water that wears on our faucets. Thank you for this product.

Love the finish & design.
I love the product. However, the hot water handle does NOT
line up flush when you shut it off !! It is off a few degrees forward compared to the cold water handle. Did not notice it
until my plumber installed it and and he left.
I believe that it a manufacturing defect!! I will have to live with it.

Nice faucet, good value
Not too much to say other than this is a good faucet at a good price. I was looking for something inexpensive yet not unattractive or something that I could expect to leak in a few months. Installed myself on 3-30-13. Purchased from Home Depot for $79.00 plus tax ($85.12 total). Easy to install, no initial leaks. Only negative is that it seems to feel a bit cheap/plastic-y/fragile but we'll see how it holds up.

neck comes down too far
I wish they would have had a warning that is you have a seperator between your sinks, not to get this. I have a water filter that extends the faucet. So between the filter, and the sink , I can't even get a bowl in there. so have to always put the faucet to one side or the other. and can't have anything in the sink. So if there is dirty dishes, I have to remove them, to fill my glass with water.

Handle screw/bolt part number for 21988LF faucet
My handle broke and I need the part number for the brass bolt with one end threaded and the other end splined with the chrome finish knob/end attached. I was able to get the threaded part out of the handle base so just need the bolt.
It looks like part RP26852 which is 3.05 inches long and mine is more like 2.5 inches, end to end. Thanks Tim
Hi Tim, Thank you for your question. The spindle and finial for the RP42995 handles on the model 21988LF faucet is not available as a separate item. The entire handle assembly would have to be replaced.

Model # 21988LF. The base is leaking. What repair kit do I need? Is there a video I can watch to help me repair.

Can the faucet and handles be installed directly on the sink without the base?

Thank you for you installation inquiry. The escutcheon/base plate of the Delta Foundations Kitchen 21988LF faucet is apart of the full faucet valve, it is not removable.

I did not out the sprayer holder on.How do I remove the snap on connection to the water supply to put the sprayer hose through the holder?
Reach up at the very top of the connection and squeeze the two tabs together and gently pull down on the hose. They only move about .05" inward, but it will release.

How come I can't buy a replacement spout for this faucet?
I tried to mount a PUR water filter on it using the correct adapter, but no matter how much plumber's tape I put on or how tight I tried to make it, the connection always leaked. I decided to remove it and just use the sink normally, but I damaged the end of the spout removing the adapter. I like the faucet and don't want to have to buy an entirely new one just for the spout as the spout is really well designed for a quick disconnect. It appears that no one sells the spout separately and I'm not sure why. Can I get a replacement spout from you?

Why don't you print on your box that this is made out of plastic and not chrome? I was very upset when I found this out - after it had been installed.
Hi Treetracker, Thank you for your question. The model 21988LF is a metal faucet. The spout, handles, escutcheon base and valve body are metal. The side sprayer and mount are plastic components.

Thick deck extension?
Is there a thick deck extension for this faucet? I can find a lot of other Delta faucet deck extension but none for this model. Will a extension kit for another model work? I only need to extend the hot and cold connections a small amount.
Thank you for your inquiry, Tim! Delta does not manufacture a thick deck mounting kit for the Foundations Kitchen 21988LF faucet. This faucet requires a maximum deck thickness of 1 5/16" (33mm).
