[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] we replaced our old leaking kitchen faucet with this one about 9 months ago. it has not leaked and continues to perform well. with 3 little ones under 3.5yo, we use the faucet and spray nozzle frequently. looks as pictured (we got satin nickel) recommended.

Disappointed!
Not even a year after replacing my old faucet with this faucet, if was leaking very bad. I would get wet just using the sink for a few seconds. Not recommended.

Nice solid fixture!
I bought this online in August after looking at many other sites. There was a great selection and I was interested in getting this fast to renovate a rental unit I own. it is beautiful, complete and a nice solid material, not a wimpy piece. It was a snap to put in. I ordered it on Sunday and it arrived on Tuesday, quick and free shipping on top of that. I would definitely order things from this site again.

This product is garbage!!!
This faucet is a total piece of junk! The sprayer leaks and causes the faucet to sputter. Causing water to drip down below the sink damaging the cabinet. The high arc faucet doesn't move right to left after only 3 weeks of installing the faucet. Very cheaply made!!!! I wouldn't recommend this product to anyone!!

Nice faucet. Im happy.
I took along time to make a decision. I an happy with this faucet. It was easy to install. One thing to understand about all new faucet. They are water savers. Therefore, they restrict the water and you might experience a drop in pressure. I did. The water pressure in my area of town is low anyway. It seemed to affect the cold side more. Anyway, after you use it a while, unscrew the aerator on the end of the faucet and clean out the screen. Be careful when you screw the tip back on. Do not get it cross threaded. Take your time. Good luck!

Total piece of junk
I replaced a glacier bay kitchen faucet that cracked at the plastic spout from my 5 yr old trying to use it as a handle to climb up the cabinet. Didn't leak, worked fine but figured its days were numbered. Decided to replace it with a "better" brand. Better quality. What a joke. Within a month the hot water handle loosened up. Got the instructions out and fixed not a huge deal. Week later the sprayer wont shut off intermittently,sputters and constantly drips. The faucet and sprayer has never had the same volume or pressure or the glacier bay had . Should not have any problems with something as simple as a faucet. I would not recommend this product.

This product has great features except for sprayer on side
The Faucet is a good quality faucet, except for the side sprayer it has a cheaply made plastic hose connected to it and it will not last very long with usage. If it had a braded line attached to the sprayer it would be much better.

This product is very stylish and practical
I purchased this style as a replacement to a faucet that was installed when I built my house. I love that the faucet has a higher arc than my previous one. The brushed chrome finish blends with the stainless steel sink. The handles are user friendly as they turn off and on with the slightest touch.

Excellent product!
We had to replace our 19 year old Peerless faucet last month. Delta and Peerless have merged and we decided to buy this model. It is so nice. The single handles make it very easy to turn on and off when your holding something in your hand, or have dirty hands. It was easy to install, and we have had no problems with it. I also want to mention that these faucets have a lifetime guarantee, and Delta stands behind their products. They actually sent us a refund for this faucet! Standing behind the Peerless lifetime guarantee! Plus, they're made right here in the USA! They replace parts for the faucets too! Great company! Great products!

Yes, I am happy with it as it fit in nicely where my old one was.
However, the pressure coming from the cold is not as strong as from the hot.
Whereas both were strong pressure from my old faucet.
What could be causing this, or is it just made to have less pressure in the cold now?
Would really like an answer, please.

Disappointment
We have always bought delta faucets, but after replacing the kitchen faucet 2 years ago the spout seems to be corroding from the inside out. Every time the water is turned on the spout starts leaking, which is very aggravating.We will be replacing it with some other brand.

Windmere 21996LF Kitchen Faucet
I bought this faucet about a year ago. I have well-water and need to clean the screen. You can not get the screen off, without taking off the whole thing and turning off water supply and un-screwing the faucet from the sink. This is a poor idea for a kitchen faucet; it is made for looks and not for being easy
to clean the screen.

not happy with replacement sprayer
We bought this faucet several years ago and have had no problems until the sprayer hose started leaking because an inside mechanism went bad. I called Delta and they replaced the sprayer kit at no cost to me, but sent me a cheaper version of the one that came with my original faucet. The finish is supposed to be rubbed oil bronze all over, yet the inside spray nozzle part is gray. It looks cheap and tacky and for $289 originally, it should not look that way! The gray part stands out like a sore thumb against the rubbed the oil bronze color. The original sprayer was completely rubbed oil bronze throughout. Not happy at all.

Love the style but had a problem after 14 months
I love the style and look of this faucet. A little over a year of having this faucet the hot water faucet began to squeak.
So maintenance repaired it and then it squeaked again and the hot water didn't come out very forcefully. So they fixed it again and now it seems OK. Just seems like about a year is a short time for things to start going wrong.

The product design is modern and components work well.
With the external filter water there is noise but the cold water side fixture appears to work well. Fixture cost versus quality is good. Valve replacement should be easy. Sprayer hose could be more flexible. No leaks after one year of service.

Nice looking, easy to install, quality disappointing
Looks great and was easy to install, provided that you have a basin wrench to get up behind the sink basin. I wish faucets came with longer tubes to simplify connection to the water supply. Stainless steel finish on the faucet looks great, but the valve stems feel flimsy, like they'd snap right off with little force. Water flow is significantly less than the faucet it replaced. But even with these reservations, I am satisfied with the faucet and recommend it.

Would like two handles but no side sprays
Thank you for your question, K4551! The Delta Foundations Kitchen 21987LF faucet would be the closest matching model without a side sprayer. You may cap off the hose connection under the faucet if you do not wish to use the sprayer. Depending on the code on the back of the faucet, you will either need a 1/2" threaded cap (413763) or the RP60295 (413763-A),

Water Restrictor/Saver feature in the cartridge
I have two questions: Is there a 2.2 aerator available for this faucet?
Can you tell me why there is a water restrictor or water saver in the CARTRIDGE when the aerator has a water restrictor/saver already? I was told by someone that the cartridge has another restrictor feature.

Does it need to be installed with the deck plate or can it be installed with direct contact to the counter top. My proplem is the holes are spread out.

where do the bushings go on a 2 handle kitchen faucet? do they go over the orings? the instructions don't say where they actually. The rep on the phone say the have to be lined up? Lined up how?

Thank you for your question. The bottom bushing gets installed onto the diverter assembly inside of the valve body. The top bushing is to be installed on the spout shank at the top above where the two o-rings are located.

Is this faucet compatible with a countertop dishwasher?

Thank you for your question. The Delta Windemere Kitchen 21996LF faucet has an aerator with a thread size of 3/4-27, we do not manufacture any adapters to fit dishwashers or filters. You may want to check with a local plumbing store or the makers of the dishwasher for adapters.

What replacement cartridge do I ask for at the store? The paper work says something about order one RP number if there is an a suffix on the faucet code? What the heck is a faucet code. the paperwork says model 21996LF series. Is this the faucet code?

Thank you for your question, and we are sorry for any confusion on your Delta 21996LF faucet. The replacement repair kit is determined by the supplier code. The supplier code is located at the back of the escutcheon plate. It is a 6 digit code with either an 'A' or no 'A' after the 6 digits. If the code has an 'A' after it, you will need repair kit number RP54801. If the code does not have an 'A' after it, you will need repair kit number RP41701.
