Poor quality for Delta
This is a rather flimsy basket strainer. The locking stud is barley long enough to hold this together. Maybe 2 or three thread turns on a cast iron sink. Be sure to use lots of silicon on this. It may be the only thing that holds it together. Very thin metal compared to a Lucky Seven strainer. I'm a professional plumber and I've put in a ton of Delta products over the years, but this one is terrible. Unfortunately, it's the only match for Champagne Bronze out there.

Ball on stem broke on both baskets
We’ve had the champagne bronze basket strainers in both sinks for three years. All of a sudden we cannot use the basket without the sink filling with water. The ball on the stems of each basket have broken or rusted off and it seems the only solution is to spend $$$$ on new baskets to ensure the color matches our faucet.

Beware Black Stainless Steel Isn't Black
I purchased this drain assembly to complement my matte black faucet. Imagine my surprise when it didn't look black at all. Nothing like the picture. I received a replacement and it was the same color. So although it's slightly darker it definitely isn't black like picture on the website.

Good quality but black is not true black
I purchased this strainer in Black Stainless to go with a black granite kitchen sink. It is more of a dark stainless than black and had to return. It did appear to be decent quality.

Great Product, But....
I've had my Delta 72010 Strainer installed now for about 5 years and have had no issues until now. All I need is a simple ten-cent seal for my strainer basket and can't seem to locate one anywhere. There needs to be a source for these seals, since NO seal last forever!

Delta 72010-AR kitchen strainer
In the last 3 days I have had 2 people make the same complaint with the Delta 72010 kitchen strainer. The basket post has a round ball that seems to be rusting off. I called Delta on one issue and the customer called on the other issue.

Free replacement- ha ha!
We purchased Delta products for our new build. Mostly we have been very pleased with the faucets, and shower heads in all the rooms. However, the kitchen strainers were breaking every 3 to 6 mths and I had to call for replacements. I noticed now too others were having similar problems with the little ball in the stem, it would pop out and wouldn't stay open. I was hoping they would change the design. Sadly, they did change the design. Now, the strainer is smaller in circumference, and the holes for the water drainage are larger. So honestly, I rarely have any food caught in the strainer!! It either falls around the edges and down the drain or falls through the large holes and down the drain. I am not sure how this will affect my mound system, but I can assure you I am NOT HAPPY. Free lifetime replacement, gee all they have to do is replace it with a lesser product and call it a day. They shouldn't even get one star :(

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Love the basket strainer, the color is perfect. The only thing I don't care for is the little knob on the stem of the strainer has broke off of one of the strainers. That is the only problem.

Rust and non fuctioning strainer after one month of use
Bought 2 Delta assemblies for my new kitchen remodel . The Arctic Stainless color great match. Finally installed on April 14, 2016. Past week noticed rusting at insertion area of basket and "nubby" that controls the filling of basin with water was GONE... So far only one side has rusted. not very satisfied with this product.

Overall good product
This sink flange fits the sink as it should. The parts below the sink are PVC, and the overall length of the flange is longer than the standard sink flange. Your plumbing below your sink will have to be altered. Not that difficult to do, but was a surprise I had not expected. I rated this product 5 stars because of the Lifetime Warranty that Delta has on this product. The working parts of this flange and strainer are of good quality metal with a beautiful finish. As far as the plastic below the sink, all of my drains plumbing under all of my sinks are PVC and I NEVER have any problems with my drain plumbing. If and when I need to remove any of the PVC pipes they always come apart with ease. The PVC on this sink flange is heavy duty and I don't expect any issues whatsoever.

Well made but
over priced compared to other brands of same quality. I bought 2 Delta and one Kraus and they were all 3 identical in design, quality and function.

Didn't need it; returned
The original sink that needed a basket was back-ordered for two months, so I got a different one that came with a stopper. I dare say, though, that my plumber thought it was over-priced, and had too much plastic in it.. He refused to use it and sold me one for $10 less. Was it a plumber thing? I doubt it, as he's not that kind of guy.

Almost
I'm comparing this to Keeney 1437SS and Pegasus 540515 all three of which I bought to pick a winner. My ideal strainer and basket: Snap basket down to close, Snug basket fit to cup when open, No sharp edges on the underside of the basket (thats where you grab it when emptying#, Basket easily returns to cup after emptying, Basket snap mechanism must not jam in the presence of food scraps, No screws nor nuts holding basket parts together #when undone the parts drop into the drain#, Cup easy to remove food scraps from.
How I would improve this:
1. Mount cup to sink via outside threaded lock. As is, mounting mechanism is INSIDE the drain exposed to food scraps.
2. Basket has post that fits snugly into a cyllinder in the cup. A leaf of chard stuck in the cyllinder causes the post to not fit very well. How much bacteria can get past the little spring loaded ball bearing mounted in the post? Simplify: Replace with a ball at the end of the post and a joint in the cup - like a ball joint which allows the ball to be pulled out #gets rid of cyllinder and ball bearing).
3. Make the cup the same height as the other two strainers so you wont have to cut/extend plumbing to make this fit.
Otherwise this isn't a bad product. I hope a Delta designer will read this and do a redesign.

Nice finish. Quality product.
I replaced all of the hardware in the kitchen sink, including the sink drain and garbage disposal mount. I removed the soap dispenser and installed the Delta water dispenser that I connected to a remote Stage 3 water filter. This really dressed up the kitchen sink and added a touch of elegance to an ordinary kitchen.
The stopper for the garbage disposal drain does not fit well and will not keep water in the sink so I had to purchase an off the shelf stopper.
