Please know that we take extreme pride in the quality of our products and service. You will find that the use of PVD finishes is common throughout our industry and that finish variations are not unique to our products. The PVD process we use in the manufacturing of many of our finished products adds the color to our Brilliance faucets while also providing superior abrasion resistance. We attempt to minimize variations in color by utilizing certain control methods. However, differences in sizes, shapes and materials of individual faucet parts can produce variations in color that are sometimes noticeable to the human eye in certain lighting, despite the controls we have in place. My Delta 72010-AR strainer has what is considered a "ball lock strainer basket", simply push to seal, pull to unseal.
