Why don't you have installation instructions for this?  I am wondering if I put the white piece under the body or if I should use plumbers putty.  The specs call the white piece a gasket but it doesn't feel like one.

However, this is able to be installed from above the sink. Does this flange and strainer include the tailpipe that connects to ptrap?

Is this strainer a 316 stainless steel? I have installed 23 basket strainers only to have them rust out so I need a higher level of stainless steel.

Does the paint fade? Does delta have oil rubbed bronze?

Unfortunately, we don't currently carry a sink strainer in oil-rubbed bronze. We do carry faucets and other accessories in oil-rubbed bronze and Venetian bronze. I just got the Lorelai kitchen sink. It came with this sink flange. I wanted to use it with a disposal. How can this be used. the flange doesn’t allow food to go down it with its small slits? Also the pipe at the bottom can’t fit a disposal.

This may be a silly question, but I purchased 72010-CZ not knowing it was an "install from above" flange. The tightening bolt has slots for tool insertion, but I don't have a screwdriver with a blade as wide as needed and cannot find one online. Sugg?

I have a Blanco Valea 27" by 18" kitchen sink to install. The actual hole opening appears to be 3.5" and with the wider groove around it would measure 4.5". Will this flange/strainer assembly require an actual hole which is 4.5"?

Your Flange and Strainer technical specs (Rev. C) don't show a width for the top of the cone portion of the flange. Your Q&A says that this measurement is 3 3/4", meaning it WON'T fit in a 3.5" drain hole. Is this true?

The basket strainer on my Delta Lenta 32" sink has come apart and does not connect back together. Does this strainer fit my sink? Most basket strainers appear to be for a smaller drain and have higher edges. The strainer I have is quite flat.
