Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best Strainer Best strainer I have ever owned. Heavy duty and high quality. The Big box store strainers don't compare.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Fell apart in less that 12 months The strainer fell apart and every time I screwed it together it fell apart again. Replacement is way too expensive and not worth the cost. Hoping to locate a universal strainer and stopper that will fit.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Breaks! Pretty but not worth it. We have had gone through 2 of these already! Luckily Delta stands by their products and will ship out a new one under their lifetime warranty. We moved into our home in June 2024 and it’s been 6 months and we had 2 break.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from This did the trick! This product was exactly as it appeared on the page, and it fit into my sink perfectly. No problems. It may sound silly, but I'd never ordered a product like this online, so I was so glad I got the right thing. Website was very helpful.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Junk; didn't last two years Basket strainer blew out and now the flange/tail-piece has blown out. So expensive, but such poor quality.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Good basket strainer flange I have champagne bronze in my kitchen, now I have it in my sink.
Date published: 2024-09-27
Rated 1 out of 5 by from Junk from Delta. This flange is a piece of garbage, half of it is plastic that will crack over time. For the same price get the kohler that will last forever.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Bracket holding strainer to pipe broke within 5 months The piece that holds bolt keeping the strain connected to bottom piece broke at the seams.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Perfect! Perfect basket strainer flange. I replaced our kitchen basket strainer flange that was made by another well-known plumbing manufacturer. That flange never worked from Day 1. The basket strainer seemed too small for the flange and never held the water. I had to buy a rubber stopper to fill the sink to wash dishes. When we replaced our kitchen faucet, I decided to replace the strainer flange at the same time. This one works flawlessly. It looks great and is easy to install.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Never again. Faulty product. I've gone through two of these, both used less than 6 months on a kitchen sink that only has light dishwashing use. The piece on the bottom has broken off in full and made the strainer useless, causing flooding under my sink.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Broke after less than 6 months Broke exactly like several other people experienced. Clearly an issue with the product. Very disappointed because I love my faucet and this is the drain that matches, but this is unacceptable

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Flimsy design Apparently broke when plumber installed and over tightened. Unfortunately this is the only basket strainer Delta makes in champagne bronze, and our faucet is champagne bronze so....we will be ordering another one but will keep a close watch on the installation.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Nice This strainer looks very nice, works well, and the finish is perfect.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Nice look, low quality We made a last minute change from Kohler flanges to Delta in order to match our new faucet. Having both of the options in hand highlighted some interesting details. The kohler flanges are made out of solid brass, these delta ones incorporate a ton of plastic. I was very disappointed as they are the same cost but seem more like something I would get from a low cost brand. Go with the Kohler equivalents, I can speak from having both of them in hand the Kohler one is superior in quality by far.

After reading these Q’s I see I ran into the same issue with the bolt length not fitting my fireclay sink. Has anyone had any luck on finding a longer bolt? Delta, why have you not provided customers with a solution or put this in the description???

Asked by: Dree
Thank you for your question, Dree! We are sorry to hear that this sink flange and strainer is not compatible with your fireclay sink and apologize for the inconvenience this has caused. Unfortunately we can not ensure that this part will fit a non-standard installation and do not make a longer bolt. We will, however, work to get this information more accessible for future use and we thank you for your feedback. https://media.deltafaucet.com/SpecSheet/DSP-A-72010%20Rev%20B.pdf Best regards, Edward

I purchased the sink strainer 72010 and the disposal flange 72030 in stainless steel. The disposal flange looks more like brushed nickel as it has a yellow/green tint. Is this normal or should they match exactly because they are the same finish?

Asked by: lasvegasdenny
Hello Lasvegasdenny, Thank you for your question. The Delta Kitchen Strainer and Flange 72010-SS and the Kitchen Disposal and Flange Stopper 72030-SS are manufactured with the PVD Stainless finish. Please know that we take extreme pride in the quality of our products and service. You will find that the use of PVD finishes is common throughout our industry and that finish variations are not unique to our products. The PVD process we use in the manufacturing of many of our finished products adds the color to our Brilliance faucets while also providing superior abrasion resistance. We attempt to minimize variations in color by utilizing certain control methods. However, differences in sizes, shapes and materials of individual faucet parts can produce variations in color that are sometimes noticeable to the human eye in certain lighting, despite the controls we have in place. Please feel free to call, email, or message us on social if there is anything else you need. Is there a way to purchase a longer bolt for this product? The bolt provided is about 1" too short for our farmhouse sink.

See bolt on specification sheet. Bolt M12 x 1.5-5g

What is the strainer mechanism to stop water flow?

Does the strainer have a spring clip - push to seal, pull to unseal? Or, does it have a post - twist and drop to seal, lift to unseal? Or, is it a more complex raise, gently lower while twisting until feeling it will drop then release to seal, raise then gently lower while twisting until feeling it will drop but not to the depth of seal then release? Or something even more imaginative?
Asked by: PickyAboutStrainers
My Delta 72010-AR strainer has what is considered a "ball lock strainer basket", simply push to seal, pull to unseal.
