Is that relay arrangement designed to disable the dishwasher while operating the disposal?? Or is the second switched outlet intended for another type of device?

Thank you for your question regarding our Delta Faucet 72050-AR-R.
An air switch is a way to turn on a sink garbage disposal, rather than a "light switch" on the wall. This button may be installed on the deck (in a sink hole or on the countertop), on a wall, or on the face of the cabinet.
The air switch includes a brass push button and trim, a control box, and a 6-foot-long hose.
