Rated 1 out of 5 by from This faucet has driven me to the brink of insanity We have had this faucet for a little over three years now. When we first purchased this it sounded perfect, if your hands are dirty just touch the faucet with your elbow or arm or back of hand without dirtying the faucet itself.... genius! If only it were that simple. The faucet started malfunctioning very early on. Stopped responding to touch / got stuck in the off position so the water could not be turned on any longer. Delta was nice enough to offer a replacement for the solenoid - the part that was malfunctioning. I replaced it once it arrived and thought my problems were solved. They were.... for about two months. Then it started malfunctioning again. Delta again sends another replacement for the solenoid. Problem solved.... again for about two to three months when once again, you guessed it! It stops working. Again. It always seems to stop working right in the middle of either meal prep or dish washing. You have to uninstall the solenoid in order to get water flowing each time this happens. I have had the water turn on by itself wasting tons of water until we noticed the water running in the kitchen, it turns itself MUCH more frequently - in the middle of washing hands, washing dishes, etc..... it is maddening. When we paid $600.00 we thought it would be top of the line, that it would work forever (well at least longer than three years!). I have once again today removed the solenoid as it no longer works - AGAIN! Get it together, Delta.... we should not pay such high prices for a lemon of a faucet. To top things off, the faucet now gets stuck in between the spray / flow setting so pressure is down now too unless you hold the button down while using it. UGH.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from This is a great faucet.y only problem is that Delta has an almost identical one for $100.00 less The faucet is great. Good looking and works flawlessly. You can get the same one with a little less height for $100.00 less

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Beautiful design and performsnce I love my new Delta faucet. After looking at many brands of faucets, I'm so pleased with my selection. The sleek and modern design along with its high performance exceeded my expectations. I also appreciate that this faucet has a lifetime warrantee. I know I will enjoy my faucet for many years to come . Thank you!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great design! Finding that the Trinsic faucet with it's looks, features, and reputable Delta quality came in two sizes was fantastic! We saw the larger version and were quite impressed however it was going to overpower the area we wanted to place it - to find a smaller version was great. Works perfectly!

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Product looks nice but cartridge seems to be a problem After only 3 months, the faucet flow on hot water setting is very slow and apparently restricted! No problem apparent with inlet line. Assume the cartridge is faulty.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from The touch feature along with the great design make this faucet an essential part of any kitchen I love this faucet! You get used to the touch feature so quickly that you'll try to "touch" everyone else's kitchen faucet too! I feel like there a lot more water pressure than my old faucet and this contributes to more sink/counter splash...that's the only thing that bothers me. Of course, that is adjustable as well. This is a 5 star product!

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Champagne Bronze not as Gold as Pictured I'm so extremely disappointed in the color of this faucet. In front of my kitchen window with the natural light, one cannot even tell this faucet is a bronze color. I was so excited to have a gold colored faucet like the photos show but it looks nothing like the pictures in my house. I wish delta would add more bronze to their champagne bronze. The gold look is in and it's nearly impossible to find an affordable faucet with that look.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Good faucet and Good value We purchased and installed this faucet (Non-touch version) for a kitchen reno about 1.5 months ago. We love the sleek, all-in-one design of this faucet and it replaces our old 3 hole delta faucet with separate sprayer, control handle and tall faucet spout. Love the pullout sprayer feature. I did notice on initial use, the hose & hose weight would get caught underneath the sink preventing easy retraction. This was easily fixed and is no longer an issue for us. Love the one button switch between full stream or sprayer stream and the button holds our selection. I would say that water pressure and volume of this faucet is comparable to our previous delta faucet. We have not had any issues with the water pressure and water volume with this faucet. I use the sprayer to rinse off many large pots & pans and use full stream to fill pots. I have noticed a bit more splashing when used fully retracted but this is easily resolved by reducing the water flow via the control handle. I had this same problem with my old faucet sprayer and had to use with lower water pressure/flow. I do agree with some reviews suggesting switching the hot & cold control directions - cold should be forward/bottom and hot should be back/top. In the current design, the bottom/forward control is more natural/dominant and should be cold as it is used more frequently. The suggestion to move the control lever to left side may provide this control but is not conducive to right handed users. Overall, we are very happy with this faucet and would recommend this faucet to others.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Looks good. Does not hold up. We loved the contemporar, clean look of this faucet and selected it for our new build. After just 2.5 years we found the faucet has suddenly failed and now leaks badly whenever we turn it on. So surprised I now have to set aside time to call delta and a plumber for a product so new. I still love the look but am really disappointed to have maintenance issues so soon.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from poor quality We had this faucet installed in November. The sensor can be difficult. At the 90 day mark the faucet stopped working. I expected much better quality. This is my first experience with Delta and so far it's a disaster. Hopefully customer service will stand behind this faulty faucet. The design and appearance are very nice but that becomes secondary when it does not work.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from leaking after 2years It was great until this summer. It's leaking under the sink. Water seems drips out from faucet, and it trickled down making puddle. Not noticing, it damaged our brand new custom kitchen cabinet! It stopped for a while, now it is leaking again. Very frustrating when things leaks under the sink.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from This product is smooth as silk I have installed several faucets over time but this one is right on top in looks, function and certainly when it comes to installation. I loved my previous faucet from a different manufacturer, but when it was leaking and I tried to fix it, it became very frustrating, especially the pull-out sprayer. When I finally gave up and went looking for another faucet within my budget it took me 5 minutes to select the DELTA pull-down faucet. The way the installation is designed, is in such a way that anyone can install it. My favorite part is the installation of the pull-out sprayer, you just click the hose to the unit and a plastic retainer locks it place. No twisting of hose, no wrenches necessary and no time wasted. Love it. The off and on selector of the sprayer works very well and the pull-out goes back in place with ease. Thank you for a great design.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Beautiful faucet in warm gold This is a beautiful addition to our kitchen which has a gold-Moroccan theme. The hose feature is my favorite thing - you can fill up pots/kettles etc. without having to put thme directly under the faucet. The spray option is also great when you want to clean the sink out. The MaganTite works great. I'm giving it 4 stars for design because the faucet is *quite* large and tall for our pretty small rental kitchen. In retrospect it would have been better for us to get the bar sized faucet. Hope this helpful! I really recommend this product.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Bar faucet that we used at our Kitchen sink We have a lower backsplash than most, which doesn't allow for high-arc Kitchen faucet clearance. As an interior designer, I'm always recommending Delta Kitchen faucets due to the magna-tite docking system and also the customer service for any issues down the road. I was very excited to see that the bar version of the Kitchen faucet also came with the pull out feature and magna-tite system that the kitchen version has. The size is perfect.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from So disappointing! What a great design and idea... the faucet looks really nice, the Arctic Stainless model is a very nice addition to our kitchen. But what a disappointment!!! Have had this for 1.5 years and it just stopped working, pure and simple. No water/little trickle when on, leaking when off... What a waste of $$$. For the price paid, I was hoping not to have to change so quickly. Don't waste your money with this... the look of such a nice faucet can likely be found without the hassle of this not working.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Nice clean lines, wonderful functionality The magnetic sprayer easily detaches and functions quite elegantly. During installation I required an extra part which was dispatched to me within days. Great service from Deta Faucets in Canada, which took only one phone call. They sent me more parts than I needed. Long term durability is important to me, so we still have to see about that.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Style with function We needed a new faucet that would go well with our kitchen remodel. This faucet was easy to install and is a pleasure to use with the new deeper sink. The finish matches the stainless steel appliances and euro style cabinet handles.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Beautiful, Modern, Great Style It was love at first sight with this faucet. After deciding to go brass and stainless mixed-metals, I knew I wanted something modern yet timeless for the faucet. The color is perfect and matches with brass accents, but could also work with darker metals as well. The faucet sprayer pulls out nicely and pulls right back in place. The feel is quality. It came with a matching soap pump, which is plastic. Unfortunately, even the nicest brands are making these in plastic, so it seems unavoidable. It looks the same, but I do wish the style matched better. All in all, I love this faucet!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Get what you pay for Great looking faucet with clean lines and chrome finish. Feels substantial and, most importantly, works well and puts up with consistent use by all members of our family. We have had Delta faucets in the past; on one we did have problems when it was about 10 years old and they sent out replacement parts quickly and the repair was an easy fix. These faucets are not cheap, but you get what you pay for.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Beautiful design and finish, infuriatingly low flow rate, aerated I get plenty of compliments on the style and finish of the faucet, but the low flow rate is infuriating. With my old faucet I could hold a pot while filling it, then turn around and start cooking. Now, I set the pot in the sink, turn the water on, walk away for a while, come back, and watch it fill some more. I understand EPA, ASME, and CALGreen standards, but 49 seconds to fill 5.5qt pot is a very long time. I looked into removing the flow restrictor, but I'm told it can't be done on this model. I looked into drilling it out. First, I timed the fill rate without the wand assembly. 35 seconds. It's faster, but not worth attempting to drill the flow restrictor out of the wand. The pressure is very high coming out of the wand hose, so the restrictions are the hose diameter and the wand assembly. It's pretty, but when I return to the sink and it's. still. slow. ly. fill. ing. the. pot. I want to tear it out of the counter, drive down the street to the Delta plant, and ask them to kindly make a faucet that allows water to flow through it. That would be lovely. Also, a non-aerated option would be useful. I understand that aeration increases the perceived volume and helps reduce the splashing from the water jet that results from reducing the tip diameter down to the size of pencil graphite in the name of water conservation, but aerated water combined with the low flow rate adds a challenge to rinsing away soap suds. Giving suds a small supply of water mixed with air makes them grow.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent Product, Excellent Service The faucet is handsome and elegant and perfectly functional. Ours ended up with a defect and had to be replaced. I called today, related the problem, and a brand new faucet is on the way to replace it. Really impressed with the service quality.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Looks good but my new cabinet is warped now. This faucet was in the model home of the builder, we liked the way it looked so asked for it in our home with other faucets matching. Hose that extends/retracts developed a leak that I can't find but is was damp enough to warp the wood under my sink cabinet that is only 2.5 years old. This faucet is not worth the retail price listed on this web page. Never thought I would be searching for faucet parts after 2.5 years installed.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Beautiful replacement I purchased this faucet to replace the builder's special in my new home. The builder's special was from a good brand but I wanted one that had an arc and more aesthetic looking. This faucet is easy to install. The spray in both setting is strong which is great to rinse heavy residue off pots, pans, dishes, etc and wash down the sink. It can causing splashing if you turn the faucet on all the way. The hose does not automatically retract as some reviewers have noted. You will need to push the hose back into the holder. A heavier weight is needed if you want it to automatically retract. Pros: looks good, easy installation, powerful water stream. Cons: instead of 32 inches of supply line, perhaps make the water line a standard length of most cabinet heights. Avoids cutting the excess line or looping as suggested in the installation instruction. Overall, very happy with the new faucet.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Good while it lasted Be advised, if the touch feature dies you will be without water in your kitchen until fixed. Ours died in less than 3 years. Other than not serving its primary function it is fine.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Good looking This faucet is not only good looking but also is very functional. The pull out sprayer is really handy. No drips no leaks. Big pans to wash are no problem with the high arcing faucet and the sprayer combined. I like this faucet more every time I use it.

Q&A

The handle has come loose. How do I access the set screw to adjust ? I see a cap with 2 indentations - how does that come off?

Asked by: Skip52
Hi, Skip52! Thank you for your question. The handle assembly for the Delta 9159-KSLS-DST Faucet has a small button that hides a set screw. Remove the small button by popping the button out with something flat like a flat head screwdriver. The set screw can be unscrewed from the handle with a 1/8" Allen wrench. Best Regards, Rosanna

Someone responded that the sprayer is plastic. Are they saying that the pull out section (like the last 2 inches on the faucet) is plastic or do they mean the inside assembly of the sprayer is plastic. Also, is the water aerated?

Asked by: David
Thank you for your inquiry, David! The sprayer/wand assembly of the Delta Trinsic Pull-Down Kitchen 9159-DST faucet is non metallic and it operates in an aerated or spray mode via ergonomic buttons. Best regards, Tanya

For the 9159-DST & 9959-DST, is there a nozzle option that doesn't have a pullout hose or a nozzle head option without the sprayer and only aerator. Are there other solutions, not listed, to achieve this?

Asked by: Aaron
Hi, Aaron! Thank you for your question. We do not have Delta Trinsic faucet that does not have pull down sprayer assembly. We also do not have sprayer assemblies that have just the stream mode option. Best Regards, Rosanna

Can I attach a water filter to this faucet?

Asked by: Akko
Hi, Akko! Thank you for your question. We do not recommend to install a water filter to the Delta 9159-AR-DST Faucet sprayer assembly, as potential pressure fluctuations during water filter operation may result in the hose rupturing. Best Regards, Rosanna

Is there a particular cleaning product I should use so as not to damage the finish? I have the brass/champagne bronze finish.

Asked by: Becca
Hi there Becca, Thank you for your inquiry! A comprehensive list of cleaners is impossible to recommend because of the variety of materials that are a part of our many models of faucets. What may be fine for a spout may damage a handle. To clean, simply wipe gently with a damp cloth and blot dry with a soft towel. Stubborn hard water spots are best avoided by this daily regime. If extra measure is needed, a solution of 50% white vinegar (never Apple vinegar) could be used by wiping, spraying or soaking. Caution: Vinegar can permanently damage porous rock surfaces such as granite or limestone countertops. Use extreme care if such a surface is in the vicinity. To soak a faucet or part still on a faucet: 1. Mix white vinegar and tap water to a half and half proportion. 2. Put a rag or towel in the solution to soak it up. 3. Wrap the rag or towel around the part. 4. Let sit for up to an hour or so. 5. Use the rag or a clean, soft toothbrush to scrub the remaining hard water buildup. o Avoid harsh abrasives or polish o Avoid bleach-based cleaners o Avoid industrial cleaners and abrasive cleaners, such as those used for toilet bowls, green Scotch-Brite heavy duty scrub sponges, Scrubbing Bubbles Bathroom Cleaner and Lysol Basin Tub, Soft Scrub, and Tile Cleaner. o Avoid products that state on the label that they remove tarnish and rust, and those containing hydrofluoric, hydrochloric and/or phosphoric acids and caustic agents. o Because cleaning formulas can change without notice, Delta Faucet Company does not endorse any specific cleaner. does this Trinsic faucet have an aerorator - that softens the stream when not on spray mode?

i purchased this model about 2 years ago. roughly 6 months ago the faucet started to make a pounding noise when the hot water is openned up then the hot water will shut off byitself. This is the only faucet in the house that does this.

Asked by: MAQSR
Hi, Thank you for contacting us. We apologize for any inconvenience. We are more than happy to help you. Reduced flow or no flow is typically caused by debris. If only one side is affected, there is debris in the supply line. To flush the supply line, first shut off the hot and cold water supply. Remove the hot supply line from the shut off valve and place the line into a bucket. Open the handle to the middle position, then fully open, then turn the cold supply back on for one minute. The cold water should flow through the faucet and out the hot supply tube. Reconnect the supply line and turn on both supplies. Check flow from the faucet. If this does not help, please let us know. Please contact us at 1-800-345-3358 if you have any further concerns. We are open Monday through Friday 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM central time, and 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM on Saturday. Best Regards, Bethany
