Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love this faucet I previous had a Touch2 and VoiceIQ then moved. I just replaced the existing faucet in the new house with a Trinsic 9159TV-DST. After an issue with the VoiceIQ module and outstanding support from Delta I’m back in love. The Touch2 feature is outstanding and so natural to use and the VoiceIQ enables me to leave the measuring cup in the cabinet. It’s really is the next step in faucets and friends who used our previous faucet said when they went home they often kept touching their faucet to turn the water off were disappointed it didn’t turn off. Highly recommended these faucets.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from It worked great but now not so much We had this for 3 years and we have loved it. Unfortunately, the magnetic part has rusted out and now it dangles just like the other review. I hope there is a way to fix this. We paid A LOT of money for this and expected the batteries to die not the actual faucet. We have never replaced the batteries yet.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Delta Faucet 9159TV-DST is Half Great Delta Faucet 9159TV-DST is Half Great. The hardware is good. However, I bought this very expensive faucet for the software. Recently, on Sunday, it WOULD NOT TURN ON no matter what I did. "Consierge service" the only customer service, is only available M-F normal work hours. So, i had to use my bath's tap! Finally, my phone would turn it on.. Delta earlier had told me their VoiceIQ technology currently IS NOT WORKING. Having said this, WHEN IT WORKS, I at least love the Touch technology, and its beautiful.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Trouble connecting We cannot get the voice command to work. We’ve tried everything. Otherwise the Fossett is great and the touch control is great.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Don't bother: works sporadically This faucet is not worth the effort. Turns on by itself and refuses to go on at other times. The battery needs to be replaced often. The whole faucet is touchable so every sponge wipe triggers it.

Q&A

What if I change internet service provider or replace my WiFi router?

Asked by: Delta Faucet
If a new router is installed, then the device will need to go back through the initial setup process. To do this, unplug the cable connecting the voice module to the faucet solenoid. Plug the cable back in and you should see the green LED start blinking. Within two minutes, change your phone/tablet WiFi settings to connect to the voice module (DELTA-XXX). Open a browser and enter 10.10.10.1 into the URL. Once the SSID and password have been entered, you may exit the setup.

Why did the webpage fail to load after the “Registering your Device” page?

Asked by: Delta Faucet
The most likely cause is your phone or tablet did not revert to your home’s WiFi after being disconnected from the device WiFi. If this is the case, you may reload the webpage after checking your WiFi settings.

Why must I say “Alexa, ask Delta to…”?

Asked by: Delta Faucet
The voice module uses commands that are not standard for Alexa and makes use of an Alexa Custom Skill which is enabled in the Alexa App. Speaking “ask Delta to” invokes the custom skill so the commands may be understood by Alexa.

1. Does the handle turn back past the neck of the faucet in the cold direction? Or is vertical the furthest? 2. Can the handle on this faucet be mounted front? 3. Why does this require 2 1/2" between the faucet center and the backsplash?

Asked by: gardengirl
Hello gardengirl! Thank you for your question. The Handle function of the 9159TV-DST is a euro-motion style handle. This means that the handle pulls out to the side to turn the water on and points toward you to control the water temperature. We don't recommend front mounting the handle. The clearance recommended is because the width of the faucet is 2 1/2 inches. Thank you, Antoine

What happens when I command the faucet to warm up?

Asked by: Delta Faucet
The water will run until it reaches a warm temperature of 95°F. Please note the faucet handle must be set to a “hot” position for this to work. A four-minute timeout will override this function if the water does not reach the target temperature within this timeframe.

Is there anything I need to do different if I want to install two or more voice modules?

Asked by: Delta Faucet
The first voice module installed will be the default unless changed in the WebApp and receives the name “faucet”. The second voice module will be named “faucet two” but can be renamed to “bar faucet” or whatever name is appropriate. When using the second voice module, the name must be appended at the end of the command as in “Alexa, ask Delta to turn on bar faucet.” If the faucet name is not included, the system will operate the default device.

Can you turn off the touch function and leave the voice function enabled?

Asked by: GFish
Thank your for your question, GFish! The voice feature could work without the touch feature, if the C shaped clamp at the end of the green or purple wire is not connected to the threaded mounting shank. That clamp is what sends the touch signal to the faucet above the counter top, and without it connected, the faucet would not respond to a touch signal above the counter top. However, with the sense clip not hooked up there is a risk of false activation if that clip makes contact with any of the other electronics under the sink. Wrapping the c clamp with electrical tape, would be able to help prevent that false activation. Best Regards, Benjamin

Why is no water coming out when I commanded the faucet to turn on?

Asked by: Delta Faucet
Check to see if the faucet handle is in an on position. This is required for both voice and touch control of the faucet. The LED at the base of the faucet will always turn on and off in response to voice commands even if water is not running.

Why don’t commands given to my Echo work?

Asked by: Delta Faucet
Check to see if the device is powered and connected by looking for a solid green LED under the sink. If it is blinking red, then the device does not have AC power. If it is solid red, the device has lost connection to your home’s WiFi. If it is blinking green, the device is in setup mode and is looking for WiFi information to be entered.

Can I use both voice commands and touch commands?

Asked by: Delta Faucet
Yes. Voice and touch commands are equivalent to the faucet. For example, you can turn the faucet on by a voice command and turn it off with a tap. The reverse where you turn on with a tap and turn off with a voice command works too.
