Rated 5 out of 5 by from Happy with this purchase. So far so good. only been using it for a couple weeks now, but so far it's been great. Went from a two handle to a single handle and the operation of this Faucet is very easy to use. Seems very well made & looks great. A friend installed it for me, which he said was an easy installation.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Definitely great features. We love the new touch/touchless faucet for our kitchen sink. It works great. I’m in the process of finding the Power supply to use for the unit instead of changing batteries. That looks like a great upgrade from our previous faucet in a different house.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best design and instant upgrade to your kitchen. Beautiful design. Instant upgrade to the look of my kitchen. Easy to clean. Delivers a steady stream of water. The pull down is a great feature which allows clean up to be a breeze. The controls are easy to manage. I also bought the soap dispenser which adds to the design. It was installed by my plumber who highly recommended Artic Steel due to its beauty and smug proof design. I am so pleased with this faucet. I needed to replace my Delta faucet after 20 years it was time for it to retire.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Terrible Sprayer An otherwise nice kitchen faucet with a terrible sprayer. Although the sprayer appears to have an aerator it is not replaceable and does not aerate at all. All it does is splash everything after bouncing the water stream off of the bottom of the sink.

Q&A

Essa 9113 Please actually read my previous question. Can the action of the valve be rotated on not?

Asked by: Arthur
Hi, Arthur! Thank you for your question. We recommend installing this faucet with the handle on the right. You may install the Delta 9113-DST with the handle on the front or left side, but the temperature adjustment will be opposite of the standard operation for single handle faucets. You could compensate for this by swapping the hot and cold supply lines under the sink. However, the red/blue button on the handle will no longer indicate the correct temperature. Best Regards, Rosanna

Current faucet has a 10" base plate, will this cover it?

Hello. My current faucet has a 10" base plate (not sure the name of this piece) across the top of the sink - the flat piece that mounts over the sink and creates a base to hold the faucet. Will this one cover it? I only see a measurement of 8" and I'm concerned there will be a gap. Thanks
Asked by: JaneOfAllTradesButNotAPlumber
Hi, Jane! Thank you for your question. The 9113-AR-DST faucet does have it's own escutcheon plate. The escutcheon plate is RP70714AR. This is 10 1/2" long. Here is a link to the unit on our website: https://www.deltafaucet.com/parts-product-detail?modelNumber=RP70714AR Best Regards, Rosanna

How does the handle control temperature and pressure?

Does pushing the handle toward the vertical make the water cold or hot? If the water is turned off, does the temperature setting remain - so that one can turn it back on at the same temperature "setting"?
Asked by: Roy
Temperture is mixed through handle control from vertical (cold) (to Hot) in full down or horizontal position. The pressure is always constant but the flow of water is controlled through the movement of handle in and out. It is linear as you move through hot to cold without any noticeable increase of water flow at the half way point. With handle in full open position the flow rate is fixed at 1.2gpm. but the pressure is always the same which is set at the local water pumping station into your home. Usually 60-80 psi

How do you remove the spray head from the hose to clean the filter on the 9113 Essa? Instruction sheet that came with faucet only says to remove it; it does not tell how.
Asked by: LPOP
Hi LPOP, Thank you for your question. To remove the sprayer head on model 9113-DST, the head will need to be unthreaded from the hose. Best Regards, Courtney

What determines the direction of hot and cold waters

Asked by: Rapid
Thank you for your question Rapid! The water flow is determined by the cartridge. When the handle is in the middle you will get a mix of both hot and cold water and as the handle is moved backward, the cartridge allows only cold water in whereas moving the handle forward, or towards you, only hot water is used. I want to install this faucet under my wall cabinets that have an 18" clearance from top of counter top to bottom of wall cabinet. Since faucet is just under 16", will I really be able to maneuver this faucet or will it be too tall for the space?

Asked by: Maddie
Hello Maddie, Thank you for your question. The Delta Essa Kitchen Pull-Down 9113-AR-DST faucet has a total height of 15 3/4" (400 mm) and a requires a minimum 1 1/2" (38 mm) clearance to the back splash. Is there a way to increase hot water temperature on the Essa series mixing valve? The kitchen sink water doesnt get hot enough although all other faucets in the house do.

Asked by: dBee
Hello dBee, Thank you for your question! The Delta Essa Pull-Down Kitchen 9113-DST faucet is not designed with a temperature adjustment on the cartridge assembly for increasing or decreasing the hot or cold water. You may want to flush the hot water supply line and/or supply valve. Best regards, Tanya

Asked by: Arthur
