Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great tankless RO ststem Great tankless system. I replaced a tank system to increase my flow from the refrigerator. It’s improved tremendously and now we have more space in cabinets under sink. Installation was easy. Noise from pumps running while using is minimal- great upgrade from tank system.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Good taste suggest add a pressure water tank My system is split to a dedicated faucet and my 2 refrigerator's, ice makers and water dispensers. Water taste good, no issues. I did have to add a small pressure tank to keep the system from cycling multiple times when the ice maker was being filled or the water was being dispensed from the refrigerators. The refrigerators back pressure causes the RO system to shut off prematurely. With the added small waterdrop PWT ( pressure water tank) the system no longer Cycles and the pressure of the water coming out, has increased a small amount. The number of times per day the system comes on has also decreased because of the PWT. The system is not loud but noticeable. The reviews I've seen mainly complain about noise from the system. Which it's not my experience. Again, adding the PWT also reduces the numbem cycles the system runs per day. The system was easy to put in. Only pre-requirement is a dedicated electrical outlet under the sink. I split my power from my dishwasher. I ran my electrical line from the dishwasher under my cabinet into a dedicated dual Outlet. Plug my dishwasher into one side and the RO system into the other side.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Simple install, Great tasting water. Just what I was looking for. After 10 years of changing filters every 6 months and yearly I love this system. Water is great.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from DO NOT BUY!!! This unit is very noisy!! When you turn on the faucet, there is a loud groaning sound. It also seems to regenerate occasionally and makes the same loud noise plus it sounds like water sputtering through the drain! We can hear these noises on the second floor of our condo. We called GE and they know about these issues and there is nothing that can be done to stop this annoying noise. I will usually do not review items (good or bad) but for the money I spent for this - I don’t want someone to make the same mistake! The water actually tastes good but take my opinion - the aggravating noise is not worth the taste of the water.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great reverse osmosis system I’m really impressed with this filtration system! The water tastes super fresh and clean, such a big difference right away. I also love that it’s small and doesn’t take up much space under the sink at all. My husband was able to install it pretty easily, which was a huge bonus. Overall, a great upgrade for our kitchen and totally worth it!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from #fail Poorly designed. Leaks internally, then sets off an alarm - CS will tell you to tilt the unit to pour the water out of the tank (it is “tankless”), which happens frequently. Unit is loud and very busy.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Convenient and fresh-tasting water We recently installed the Delta Clarifi tankless reverse osmosis system, and I’ve been really happy with it so far. The water tastes super clean and fresh and comes out fast since there’s no tank slowing things down. It also doesn’t take up too much space under the sink. Installation was pretty straightforward, and filter changes look easy when it’s time. One thing worth noting is that, like most RO systems, it removes pretty much everything from the water, so we purchased a remineralization cartridge (sold separately) to put healthy minerals back in. Not a downside, just something to plan for if you are thinking about purchasing this. You also need to purchase a separate faucet. Overall, it’s been a great upgrade and totally worth it for the quality and convenience.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Does not include everything needed to install. First impressions: The unit does not come with everything needed for installation. You’ll still need to purchase a compatible faucet separately. I found an inexpensive one on Amazon. Be aware that the faucet must either have an air gap or you’ll need to buy and install an air gap fixture. You’ll also need additional water lines and a drill attachment to create new holes in your countertop — all of which can be found online as well. I decided to install my unit in the garage instead of under the sink and ran the necessary lines through the wall. Installation: The setup took about three hours. I used a non–air-gap faucet along with an air-gap fixture that had ports for both the reverse osmosis drain line and my dishwasher drain. I’d consider myself an above-average DIYer, and this project definitely required some problem-solving and a bit of creative thinking. Performance: Once installed, I ran the system for about 20 minutes. The water tastes great. However, the unit itself is fairly loud, and the water pressure or flow rate from the faucet is lower than I expected. Final thoughts: I wasn’t happy that it didn’t include all the parts needed for installation — it really should. That said, if you have the space, tools, and DIY skills, this system can be a solid choice for improving your drinking water quality. If not, I’d recommend taking some time to explore other RO systems or water filtration solutions before deciding.

Does this system expose consumers to nickel, which the state of  California says it does.

Asked by: Chris
Hi Chris, Thank you for your question about the Delta Faucet Reverse Osmosis Replacement Pre-Filter Cartridge. The pre-filter does not have a label, but the RO system would. We provide Prop 65 warning labels simply to inform consumers that the product contains chemicals on the State of California’s Prop 65 list. Delta Faucet Company products that carry the Prop 65 label include components that a person may come into contact with through installation or use. Example listed materials include nickel on a plug or brass on a rough valve body. This does not mean that a product is unsafe. All Delta Faucet Company products meet or exceed the requirements of applicable product performance and safety industry standards, as well as the federal Safe Drinking Water Act. We are confident there is no health hazard associated with the installation, use or removal of Delta products. https://support.deltafaucet.com/s/article/What-is-this-California-Prop-65-Warning-label-about-1628028364982 Please reach out with any additional questions! Asked by: JGlass
Hi JGlass, Thank you for your question about the Delta Faucet model DWQ1001012. Please accept our sincere apology for the inconvenience you are experiencing. We are happy to help! Reducing restrictions to the pure water flow path will increase flow rate. Remove the refrigerator's internal filter (if present). Also, a shorter path, less fittings, raising the RO system, or increasing the tube size can increase flow. Currently the regen of this unit is disrupting my family sleep. Will it harm the unit to turn off or unplug the unit each night before bed?

Asked by: SKio
Hello! Yes, you can turn off a Delta reverse osmosis (RO) system at night by closing the angle stop valve under the sink, but it is generally designed to operate 24/7. For nightly shutdowns, turning off the water supply is usually sufficient, but for long-term disuse, it is recommended to disconnect power, seal filters, and store them properly to prevent bacteria. What makes Delta Beverage Faucets suitable for RO water?  What materials does the RO water come into contact with?  Stainless Steel 304?  Polyethylene?  Is there a standard that governs what materials are suitable for RO water?

Asked by: Greg
Hi Greg, Thank you for your question about the Delta Faucet DWQ1001012 . The finished water that is the output of a reverse osmosis system is considered aggressive. The processing removes minerals, resulting in a low pH. The finished water corrodes metal pipes and components as the water attempts to replace those minerals and metals and reach equilibrium. Therefore non-reactive materials like PEX, ceramics, and plastics are used to deliver the finished water. As of this date, the beverage faucet models are the only faucets designed to handle R.O. filtration systems. Please reach out with any additional questions! Hi PepeMom03, Thank you for your question about the Delta Faucet Tankless Reverse Osmosis System. The noise from the pump should be a bit louder than a premium, quietest dishwasher or normal conversation. Per Delta's website, RO water can cause metals to leach from unapproved faucets into the water, and only your Beverage Faucets are safe for RO water systems. Can RO water be safely stored in a metal water bottle, such as 18/8 stainless steel?

Asked by: Greg
Hi Greg, Thank you for your question about the Delta Faucet DWQ1001012. The finished water that is the output of a reverse osmosis system is considered aggressive. The processing removes a minerals, resulting in a low pH. The finished water corrodes metal pipes and components as the water attempts to replace those minerals and metals and reach equilibrium. Therefore non-reactive materials like PEX, ceramics, and plastics are used to deliver the finished water. A plastic container may be better than a metal container.
