Choosing the right water filter depends on your specific needs, water quality, budget, and installation preferences. Our two-stage system requires a dedicated beverage faucet and filters more contaminants, while the single stage system connects directly to your existing faucet with minimal effort.
Start by identifying the contaminants in your water. Check your local water utility’s Consumer Confidence Report (CCR) using our Water Quality Look-Up Tool or test your water with a DIY kit or professional service. Choose a filter that fits your installation needs and is certified to address the contaminants you’re targeting.
Under sink filters strike a balance of convenience, effectiveness, and affordability for most households, especially if your focus is cleaner drinking and cooking water.
The Clarifi™ system is designed for simple, DIY installation and comes with detailed instructions through the user guide and installation videos. However, the difficulty can depend on your DIY skills, tools and existing plumbing setup.
Tools You Might Need:
Note that this system can only be installed to a cold-water line. Running hot water through these systems will cause damage. Any compatible beverage faucet certified for use with water quality systems can work with this system. However, for optimal performance, we recommend using a Delta® Beverage Faucet, available in a variety of styles and finishes.
The filters will need to be replaced about every 1 year or after it’s filtered 1,100 gallons, whichever comes first. The system will use audible alerts and the LCD digital display to notify you when it’s time to replace the filter.
You can order the replacement filters through our website or other vendors. Other brand filters are not compatible with the Delta system.
We designed the filters to be quick and easy to replace. Simply remove the old cartridge and install the new one with simple twist and lock quarter turn mechanism.
After you’re done, the filter cartridges can be thrown away. They cannot be recycled but are not hazardous waste, so standard disposal is okay.
The system is designed to only be used with AA batteries. AC power cannot be used.
The 3 included AA batteries last approximately 2 years with a multiyear battery life.
The flush primes the filter, ensuring you don’t drink gritty or off-tasting water later and the filter is saturated for optimal performance. Until the flush is done, the water might not meet the taste or clarity you expect from a new filter.
The filters are made of food-grade, nontoxic materials, so the flush water is not dangerous. However, we recommend caution when trying to re-use this water by watering plants as the carbon particles may affect sensitive plants.
There are a few signs you can look for to tell if your new filter is working.
