Not up to expectations
Neither of these products were up to expectations. The soap dispenser is vert wobbly making it awkward to operate without exact positioning of your hand and the faucet cartridge failed in less than two months. I will say the Delta customer service department was responsive and sent parts quickly. The part sent for the soap dispenser did not fix the people and still waiting for the faucet cartridge.

We purchased the Soap Dispenser to match the Addison Kitchen Faucet and Addison Bar/Prep Faucet. Love them all. They look beautiful, function extremely well. I especially like that the soap dispenser is all metal. The finish is lovely. If it gets wet, I wipe clean with a paper towel. It leaves no water spots. And, it pumps soap easily. The soap bottle is very large so you do not have to fill it constantly.

Now we have a problem
Purchased as part of kitchen faucet in 9/14, did not have an issue till today, the "arm" is just hanging and cannot go back into the housing. Trying to determine what to purchase to repair, do I need to replace entire dispenser? Model is "Leland", in arctic stainless.

A pain to use
As others have stated this thing is very wobbly and spins easily. Just doesn't seem like it's seated properly due to poor design. Very difficult to use one handed. The first pump dispenses a good amount of soap, but then it will only dispense a very small amount and you have to pump several times to get enough soap. It's very cumbersome and I regret purchasing this item.

Wobbles and Spins - Poor Design
I just installed this today and what a disappointment! I agree with reviewer Reets9. The base does not fit flush onto sink, allowing water to get underneath it; the pump does not fit securely, wobbles and spins; it is difficult to push, making one handed use difficult; after dispensing, there is always a drop that leaks out. Seems like it is cheap quality. I would definitely not recommend this product. Looking for a replacement.

not functional
the only thing good i can say about this dispenser is that is that it matches the faucet. i bought about a year ago and am going to ask for another replacement because the plunger only works for about a month and then it will not pump the liquid not matter what it is.

Wobbles!!! Spins!!! Stiff!!!
Bought this soap dispenser to match my new O2 kitchen faucet. It is lovely, and it does dispense soap. However, I've had Delta soap dispensers in the last 3 homes (20+ years) and never had issues until this one. The design allows the pump head to wobble around probably 1/4-1/2" side to side when you try to push on it. Plus it spins! Put those two movements together and it makes it impossible for me to use the soap dispenser one handed. Also, it is stiff to push! So I have to use the palm of one hand to get enough umph to depress the moving object and the other hand to hold the neck still and catch the soap. It looks neater than having a separate push pump soap dispenser from Target on my countertop, but it is a pain in the neck to use. My hubby reviewed all directions and we installed it correctly so apparently just an awkward design. I don't like how difficult it is to use and will try to find another older design in the Venetian/rubbed bronze that 'seats' the pump into the countertop ring with more stability. Very disappointed!

hard to depress
I have 2 of these in my kitchen for about 4 years. The longer it's used the harder it is to depress. The one used more frequently already had to be replaced a couple of years ago. Delta was great in customer services and sent me a new one when I complained. Now the second one wont depress anymore. I need to replace both units at this point.

plastic piston failed in 1 yr.
even when new, pump action weak. Other Delta products we like, soap dispenser is a Dud. I would scrap this design, look at competitors, do some pilot testing.
The metal portions of the pump appear well built & survived multiple uses each day over 1 year.

Love the Style
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Purchased this to match our Delta Linden Faucet. Love the color and shape. DH just installed it 2 days ago & said it was easy to install. Holds a lot of liquid dish soap. It is tough to press down on to dispense the soap. Our last one you could just use a finger to press on it. This one you have to use your palm to press down on. Doesn't squirt out fast, but at a nice pace and just the right amount.

Classic Countertop-Mount Soap Dispenser
I'm glad I purchased this item. I bought the Brilliance Stainless color/finish and it matches the non Delta faucet I have very well. The only thing that stops me from giving this item an excellent rating, is how you put the liquid soap in. The funnel really doesn't help due to the lack of ability to vent when poring the soap in. You have to basically take an object and push through the soap sitting in the funnel to undo the air lock. Other than that, for the price, your not going to find anything better. One other thing, you push down on the round center part of the dispenser, not the long spout part. I noticed a review (different dispenser but same design intent) on this site where some want to be engineer using a force diagram giving a negative review when pushing down on the spout, it's not designed to push down on the spout.

Excellent product great support! Pump wouldn't depress
I've had this soap dispenser 3-4 yrs. When it's a little hard to depress I have taken it out and held the tube in a glass of water, pumped it a few times and and this seemed to fix the problem. This time I couldn't get it to depress at all. I checked the information on the website, called an associate who walked me through finding the model number. He was happy to send me a new one. Thanks!

As Described!
Solid piece of faucet hardware, easy to install. Finish as described so no surprises in matching existing sink. Like that I can replace just the bottle if need be and not have to buy the entire fixture. My old bottle broke on one by another manufacturer necessitating the need to replace entire fixture now.

we needed to fill in the fifth hole in our sink after replacing the faucet and sprayer. The faucet is Delta as well but we didn't like the soap dispenser that was meant to go with our model so we picked this one instead. It's way bigger than it looks though, don't be surprised. We'll never use it our experiences with build in soap dispensers has never been good.

Works as advertised.
Easy to install, easy to fill, high quality. Wish the pump had a little more travel and that the dispenser arm was longer, it shoots soap into the corner of the sink which could be problematic if you don't have a pulldown/pullout faucet.

Looks good
This soap dispenser looks good with the faucet and works fairly well. I found it easier to fill without the enclosed funnel. Compared to my old one (a Moen) I find it takes quite a hard "push" to get any soap out.

Doesn't last in the long run
I have had two of these over a dozen years. In both cases the neck of the soap container broke and when I thought I was filling the container, I was pouring soap into the cabinet. Won't try for a third one.

Soap Dispenser
The stem is short on this dispenser, and I have it as close to the edge as possible with an under the counter sink. The soap comes out in very small amounts. To get sufficient soap on the sponge, you need to pump about 3+ times. Looks great.

This soap dispenser matches the faucet I purchased and I like the long arm for the dispensing soap. Looks nice along side the faucet. Is easy to fill and even came with a little funnel to fill it from the top. A quality product.

Thank you for your question, Roe611! This model is not available in Almond. However, the RP1001 was previously available in Almond, which is now obsolete. The RP1001 is currently (as of Oct 2018) available in the similar Biscuit finish.

Is there a small bottle available? The 13oz bottle is too tall.

how is the pump portion attached/removed ? I have the replacement pump but cannot remove the original
Thank you for your question, BillS! To replace the pump, lift the head and pump assembly from the base and pull the pump away from the head assembly. Slide the head onto the new pump and slide them back into the base.

Does base on unit screw off?
We were thinking of replacing the soap dispenser with a different Delta dispenser, with a different base. The new unit has a base that actually unscrews from the post. I was wondering if the base on the RP1002 has the feature of being able to unscrew from post? Would save a lot of needless crawling under the sink.

Thank you for your question. The soap dispenser would need to be unscrewed at the locknut underneath the sink to uninstall the unit from your sink top. The base of soap dispenser cannot be unscrewed from the top of the sink.

Length of drop
Need length of drop of dispense arm reach and if measurement from center or base. Granite installers placed hole for dispenser farther back and soap drips on granite. I'm looking for a slightly longer reach.
