I want to install the RP51919 6-function cartridge in my diverter valve body, but I am unable to remove the plastic threaded sleeve that covers the old cartridge. Does this just unscrew? If yes, mine is in so tight, how do I keep from marring the thread

Asked by: John
Thank you for your question, John! The threaded sleeve is held in place only by the metal bonnet and may be tight from mineral buildup. You can try a 50/50 solution of white vinegar and water applied with a rag to this area to help loosen any deposits. I have also emailed you directly for further assistance with this repair. Best regards, Edward

plumber didnt plug right port with 2 fixtures.

Can i use another cartridge other than rp51918.
Asked by: Howie Senior
Hi Howie Senior, Thank you for your question. You can change out to the 6 function cartridge RP51919 and not change the plumbing behingd the wall. The handle will turn in 6 positions so you will have some blank and some duplicate positions but will have the ability to operate your 2 items separately or at the same time. Thanks, Dave

Diverter - 3 Diverter Trim with 6 Settings

I purchased the 3 Diverter trim however it appears that the right outlet was plumbed and now I am only getting water to one of the shower heads (rain shower vs. handheld). Would purchasing the 6 setting diverter solve my issue? Please help.
Asked by: cmanneh
Hi CManneh, Thank you for your question. If you purchase Delta Faucet RP51919, you can fix your issue but you will end up with some dead spots where no water will be coming out. Thanks. Jody

How do you insert this item

Asked by: lfigueroa0158
Hi, lfigueroa0158! Thank you for your question. The RP51919 diverter cartridge assembly can be installed into the R11000 diverter valve body by first unscrewing the bonnet nut around the body. Insert the cartridge straight into the body. Rescrew the bonnet nut to hold the cartridge in. Here is a link the manual for our diverter trim kits that comes with the diverter cartridge: https://media.deltafaucet.com/MandI/81616%20Rev%20A.pdf Best Regards, Rosanna

We just installed a R11000 diverter rough in to our shower. Which cartridge (non shared) the RP51919, RP51918 or RP71718 would work best

to control 3 shower functions (non shared). i.e. Delta Wall shower head, Hand held shower head, and a Ceiling mounted rain shower head ?
Asked by: Danny
Hi Danny, Thank you for your question. The RP71718 cartridge is for 3 individual positions and no shared positions for use with the R11000 diverter rough. Thanks, Dave

Can the rp51918 be replaced with the rp51919 ?

Our diverter arrived with a broken brown disc inside of the diverter and we have 3 diifferent options in our shower so we would like to replace it with a better one
Asked by: GB
Thank you for your post. Delta Faucet model #RP51918 can be replaced by Delta Faucet model #RP51919. The difference is that RP51918 is a 3 setting diverter cartridge and RP51919 is a 6 setting diverter cartridge. This 6 setting diverter cartridge allows for 3 individual positions and 3 shared positions.
