Rated 4 out of 5 by from Love 'Em I've owned these Delta Pop-Up drains for 5+ years. They look great. Our faucets are wall mounted so a lever actuated drain is not an option. These require maintenance but 10 minutes a year is not a big deal. The pop-up assembly is easy to unscrew (hand tight), brush it clean and spray a bit of lithium grease or WD-40 & it's good for another year.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Looks great but doesn’t push in or or pop up Looks great. Worked for about a year. Now doesn’t push in or pop down to close it. Terrible.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Pop up has not worked ftom day 1. We just had our plumber install the faucet in a brand new bathroom. I tried to use the sink but the water won't drain. The plumber came back and unscrewed the top stopper part and discovered there was a spring missing so the stopper does not stay open.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Does not work! I have four of these drains in my house - over half of them do not allow me to plug my sink. It is beyond frustrating. There is also no troubleshooting information that I can find or replacement parts to buy. They did not even last for 2 years.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from bad quality I have 2 of these that are 2 years old. They have not held up. Trouble from the start with the pop-up mechanism which at first was just finicky but now, they do not work at all. Please do not waste you money on these.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Looks great but does not pop up We have two of these that are a little over a year old. One of them has not worked correctly for some months. It does not pop back up when you close the drain. I have unscrewed it, but I cannot get it to pop up at all any more. It seems like many here have had the same problem.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Breaks easily These look nice but the top broke off very easily. When I went to replace it I find that Home Depot does not have the individual drain assembly pop up and Delta sells it for near the cost of he whole Delta faucet package at Home Depot. So frustrating!!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from not bothering to use it anymore I agree with other reviews that have fewer than 4 or 5 stars. Lovely to look at when they were installed but functionally disappointing. My primary bathroom has two of these (sink and tub), installed 4 1/2 years ago. I stopped using them more than 2 or 3 years ago and have been living with the risk of having open drains. The parts became easily gunked and water drained slowly. Then the pop ups would stick in the closed position and had to be pried open.

Q&A

Does the Drain Plug cap screw off counterclockwise to remove it from the 33W576 assembly. Is it normal for it to drain fairly slowly when it is probably not clogged with any hair, etc..

Asked by: tomcat
Hi, Tomcat! Thank you for your question. The Delta 33W576 drain assembly cap does unscrew counterclockwise to remove. Best Regards, Rosanna

Does the white gasket replace silicone around the flange? Do you use both?

Asked by: Thomacmon
Hello Thomacmon, Thank you for your question. The white gasket is used in place of silicone. You may apply silicone if the sink is rough or uneven to help ensure a water-tight seal. Best regards, Jon

I love the push popup drain, as it seems well made, looks and works great, but why does the drain extension tube thread on the INSIDE of the outlet, instead of the outside where it would prevent leaks without any type of thread sealant?

Asked by: roxie
Hi, Roxie! Thank you for your question. The Delta 33W576 is designed to not leak. We recommend to use silicon sealant to reinforce no leaks below the sink. Best Regards, Rosanna

I have two Model 3553LF-SSo faucet sets, and both of them have significant leaks past the stoppers. I need only the gaskets but I don't see them available separately, only as an assembly, PN # 33W576 . As the faucets have lifetime warranty, please help.

Asked by: Gary Bucklew
Hello Gary Bucklew, Thank you for contacting Delta Faucet Company! I am sorry this information was not readily available, and I am happy to help you! Our Delta Faucet DELTA® Push Pop-Up With Overflow MODEL#: 33W576 does not have a replaceable seal. I have included some troubleshooting steps below: If there is insufficient sealant between the bowl and flange, water will leak out of the bowl into the drain, even with the stopper in the full closed position. A uniform 1/4" round bead of sealant is required under the flange. Code permits that stoppers can leak no more than a gallon per hour with 6" of water in the bowl. [ASME A112.18.1-2000 6.7.2] The cap on the stopper is not designed to be flush with the flange. The seal is provided by the weight of the water holding the rubber seal against the flange. Thank you for being a loyal Delta customer. Please contact us back for any further questions. Best Regards, Nicole

Can I use this to replace the drain stopper that came with our 559LF-SSMPU bathroom sinks? I assume if it works, then the lever on the back of the faucet remains as is but just no longer functions to move the drain stopper. Thank you.

Asked by: amyS
Hi amyS, Thank you for your question about the Delta Faucet model 33W576. Yes, this push pop-up can replace the pop-up included with the 559LF-SSMPU. Where to install the included WHITE FOAM GASKET? Above the sink with no caulk (it would raise the flange too high causing a ponding area for water to collect); or below the sink (would interfere with the “black seal” sealing tightly)? Or discard it?

I am unable to get the stopper to open back up after pushing it closed. The sink can't drain now. Is there a way to open the stopper without taking the drian apart?

Asked by: Rob75
Hi Rob75, Thanks for your question regarding 33W576! The stopper is threaded into the body and would allow for the stopped to hold the water in the bowl. If the stopper is threaded too tight, it can cause the spring to not pop back up. We would recommend adjusting the threads. Please feel free to contact us with any questions or for further assistance. Best Regards, Emma Digital Communications Specialist
