Rated 4 out of 5 by from Love 'Em I've owned these Delta Pop-Up drains for 5+ years. They look great. Our faucets are wall mounted so a lever actuated drain is not an option. These require maintenance but 10 minutes a year is not a big deal. The pop-up assembly is easy to unscrew (hand tight), brush it clean and spray a bit of lithium grease or WD-40 & it's good for another year.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Looks great but doesn’t push in or or pop up Looks great. Worked for about a year. Now doesn’t push in or pop down to close it. Terrible.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Pop up has not worked ftom day 1. We just had our plumber install the faucet in a brand new bathroom. I tried to use the sink but the water won't drain. The plumber came back and unscrewed the top stopper part and discovered there was a spring missing so the stopper does not stay open.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Does not work! I have four of these drains in my house - over half of them do not allow me to plug my sink. It is beyond frustrating. There is also no troubleshooting information that I can find or replacement parts to buy. They did not even last for 2 years.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from bad quality I have 2 of these that are 2 years old. They have not held up. Trouble from the start with the pop-up mechanism which at first was just finicky but now, they do not work at all. Please do not waste you money on these.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Looks great but does not pop up We have two of these that are a little over a year old. One of them has not worked correctly for some months. It does not pop back up when you close the drain. I have unscrewed it, but I cannot get it to pop up at all any more. It seems like many here have had the same problem.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Breaks easily These look nice but the top broke off very easily. When I went to replace it I find that Home Depot does not have the individual drain assembly pop up and Delta sells it for near the cost of he whole Delta faucet package at Home Depot. So frustrating!!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from not bothering to use it anymore I agree with other reviews that have fewer than 4 or 5 stars. Lovely to look at when they were installed but functionally disappointing. My primary bathroom has two of these (sink and tub), installed 4 1/2 years ago. I stopped using them more than 2 or 3 years ago and have been living with the risk of having open drains. The parts became easily gunked and water drained slowly. Then the pop ups would stick in the closed position and had to be pried open.

Q&A

In one answer the white foam washer goes above the sink and in another response it goes below the sink. Which answer is correct?

Asked by: Hemi
I just received one of these model 33W576 pop up drain - push (PN-57881) as a replacement for a different model that didn't fit my sink. I too could make sense of the placement for thick white foam gasket, so I looked here in Q&A and also noticed the conflicting answers and very inadequate and confusing answers to the various questions about the white foam gasket. So I'm afraid Delta Communications gets a grade of "F" for their responses. After reading all the Q&A on this gasket, my impression is that the thick white gasket is intended to go above the sink (not below for sure!) and be used to provide a seal under the steel flange instead of using Plumbers Putty which has been the sealant of choice for decades. These days, many drain install directions have gone away from the Plumbers Putty and say to use silicone, which was addressed in many of Delta's answers but never very clearly by stating something like "the white gasket can be discarded and silicone or Plumbers Putty can be used instead". I haven't installed this one yet but I have installed a lot of sink drains in my 70 years and I'm going to toss the white gasket and use the tried and true thin line of rolled out Plumbers Putty under the flange because I have never had a leak when using it and the excess putty, that squeezes out when tightening the drain, cleans up really easily. Silicone could be used but the excess is less easy to clean up. Good luck to future questioners!

Where can we find a replacement for the black rubber gasket on the pop-up mechanism? It seems to be 19mm/37mm in/out with a particular inner lip. I cannot find this size through Delta or any other supplier.

If that’s the case, it’s the stupidest design since the Ford Pinto gas tank. So iI have to replace the entire assembly for what is less than a $1.00 rubber gasket? Can’t you find another manufacturer of a similar gasket and refer us?

The rubber gasket on my bathroom sink push up drain is leaking.  Do you sell replacement gaskets? Purchased in 2020 for home remodel.   I cannot find this size gasket anywhere

Hi, Valued Customer, Thank you for your question. The Delta 33W576 is designed to not leak. We recommend to use silicon sealant to reinforce no leaks below the sink. Best Regards, Themar
