Rated 5 out of 5 by from Easy Fix - just read the details After 9 years, the solenoid on my touch faucet finally died. Despite what many of the reviews say, CUSTOMER SERVICE was AWESOME! Before I potentially wasted money buying a solenoid I did not need, the first rep wanted me to try a few things, but made notes in the case file he would sell the replacement part for cheaper than Amazon. When they did not work, I called the next business day and the new rep was also great! She sold me the solenoid for much cheaper than Amazon AND had it expedited for no charge. I ordered it on a Monday and received it on Tuesday. When I mentioned all the reviews saying you need to replace the O-ring, she included those also at no charge (unfortunately, she sent the wrong ones, but she tried). This new solenoid is much quieter with a softer on/off than the original. As others have noted, the O-ring on the old top hose that the adapter slips on is old, compressed and cracked. You will have a leak!!! As others mentioned, you want to replace the o-ring with a size #8 at Home Depot or Lowes (9/16OD x 3/8ID x x3/32 10 pack for $2.57) Without having to make a trip to Home Depot, the entire job would have taken less than 15 minutes.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Have to replace every 2 years. My third failed after 2 years. I had to buy my first replacement in 2015, another in 2017, and now the third in 2019 which I don't plan to replace. I get technology but this level of failure is simply due to poor design.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Worst Facet We are on the 3rd Solenoid replacement and have to have a plumber to install. We have spent too much on this facet. Wish I had never bought it and do not recommend it. Horrible faucet!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Quick and easy fix The kitchen faucet was starting to drip. Cleaned the solenoid components (see YouTube for how-to instructions) but the leak continued. Called the Delta help line and the recommendation was to replace the entire solenoid component. Got it from Amazon in 2 days. Replacement was quick and easy. Leak gone! Very happy.

Q&A

I see there is a ethernet port on the solenoid assembly. What is this for? I can not find anything that explains the function of this.

Asked by: Joseph
Thank you for your question, Jcb1! The ethernet jack port is used by our engineers and some trades people for running software tests. Best regards, Tanya

It appears the LED light function has changed. On my old assembly it was blue when running and turned red when the batteries are low. Now it appears to run red for hot and blue for cold. How am I supposed to know when the batteries are getting low?

Asked by: JEC239
Thank you for your inquiry, JEC239! The LED light on the base of the Touch2O faucet will flash a red light when the batteries are getting low. Best regards, Tanya
