PRODUCT FEATURES
The solenoid assembly enables your Delta Touch2O® pull-down kitchen faucet. It senses your touch and shows the water temperature. Consider replacing this part if you notice either of these two issues: The faucet keeps dripping until you move the handle to OFF, even after you’ve flushed the system. Or Touch activation works only sometimes, and you’ve already ruled out other causes (improper installation, metal shank touching the sink, loose wires, battery pack in the wrong spot, or tapping the faucet incorrectly).
- To ensure compability with your faucet, location a sticker on the solenoid assembly with a part number. Part numbers that work with this replacement solenoid are X00090221, X00090219, X00074950, or X00070887(pulldown).
- EP74855 is compatible with faucets with the following finishes: Arctic Stainless (AR), Black Stainless (KS), Champagne Bronze (CZ), Chrome, Lumicoat® (PR), or Polished Nickel (PN)
- EP74855XXis for a faucet with the finish Matte Black (BL), Matte White (MW), Spotshield® Stainless (SP), or Venetian Bronze (RB)

Disappointed
I bought a touch Delta faucet in 2015 at a premium price. I have had three leaks since and got good customer support on two of them. I had a bad solenoid this last time and ordered what the Delta rep said to order. Would not work. Called rep and he said that I had to disconnect the wire that plugs into the solenoid. Works now but with no light. Disappointed that Delta does not produce the correct solenoid for my model since the solenoid is prone to failing. It was a RP74855. Can not see buying any more Delta products if they are not going to support the models that they sell. I found a EP74855 on Ebay. Will this make my faucet work as it is supposed to.

Replacement Part Is Okay - I give it 5 out of 10
Well,the solenoid on the touch faucet needed to be replace and I ordered a new one from Delta $170.00. The part came in about 3 days. The instructions only have pictures, and a written description of the part, no written directions.
Fairly easy to install, but when I tried to hook up the LED light the faucet would not turn on. When I disconnected the LED light adapter too the solenoid, the faucet would work with-out a light though. I called Delta the next day and they told me I need another part.
The Base for an additional cost of $55.00 to make the faucet work perfectly.
Why did't they tell me this when I initially ordered the solenoid? Kind of annoyed!

Terrible Warranty
Lifetime warranty on faucets does not include the solenoid on touch faucets. These faucets are expensive!! The solenoid on my faucet went out right before the 5 year warranty was up. Delta sent me a new solenoid that lasted less than a year. The new solenoid apparently is not covered under any warranty so i have to buy it now, which i should not have to do given it was a lemon. And there is no warranty on the new solenoid so i could literally need to keep buying these faulty parts every year because there is no longer a warranty. Horrible customer service on Delta's part. Had this part lasted at least a few years, i would be fine paying for one, but there needs to be some kind of warranty on replacement parts or i could be throwing money out the window. Find a manufacturer who can warranty replacement parts; otherwise, there is very little incentive for the manufacturer to buy quality parts.

I ordered the touch IQ and voice IQ for my delta faucet. Tec was very knowledgeable and helpful in helping me connect to my faucet that wasn't really supposed to work, little modifications to the light base and it works great. Thanks again for your help. Awesome tec support. ******

What Customer Service Should Be!
Purchased the Brizo Vuelo touch technology kitchen tap when we did renovations. When the tap started to drip we contacted our supplier and were referred to Masco Canada. The replacement solenoid was immediately shipped and was very easy to install following the detailed instructions . Wonderful customer service and assistance. Highest makes to this company

Warranty Works
We had a solenoid failure after just 3 years of operation. We love the Cassidy pull-down faucet and the touch technology. One morning the faucet just stopped working. I dug out our purchase receipt and the faucet warranty which is 5 years. I contacted Delta and the rep was very helpful. Fortunately I registered our faucet and the warranty process was very smooth. The replacement solenoid was sent and within a week I had the new part. The design and installation are excellent. No tools required. A few simple clip uninstalls and then reinstalls with two easy wiring connections and done. Took all of 15 minutes including unloading the sink cabinet. The solenoid works perfectly. Much more responsive then the old model. I give 5 stars to all categories. Quality, design and performance. I wish the original part worked longer and better but the replacement and the warranty process worked well. Very happy....

Better than the original!
Couldn't be happier with this replacement. We had the original solenoid and had several problems with it. The new one works much better and added the color coordinated LED to the water temp. The only thing was, I wasn't 100% sure this was the correct replacement part. But it was the right one.
