PRODUCT FEATURES
The solenoid assembly enables your Delta Touch2O® bathroom faucet. It senses your touch or hands-free activation, and shows the water temperature. Consider replacing this part if you notice either of these two issues: The faucet keeps dripping until you move the handle to OFF, even after you’ve flushed the system. Or Touch activation works only sometimes, and you’ve already ruled out other causes (improper installation, metal shank touching the sink, loose wires, battery pack in the wrong spot, or tapping the faucet incorrectly).
  • To ensure compability with your faucet, location a sticker on the solenoid assembly with a part number. Part numbers that work with this replacement solenoid are X00090226, X00074954, or X00064688.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from It works…. But… While this replacement solenoid works, I am not happy that this Delta product works only five years. This is my third replacement. The second and third replacements tend to leak under the sink. The third replacement (this recent one) is flaky. It likes to randomly turn off without tapping the metal parts of the faucet and can sometimes turn on without tapping the metal parts.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Cheaply made and breaks often I have had to replace this part 3 times now in my faucets. It’s no wonder they consider this part to not be warrantied very long. What a poor design . Charging over $200 for something that just breaks in a few years is such a waste. Don’t buy their touch free faucets unless you want maintenance for a lifetime.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Poor quality, poor design I have 5 of the Touch2O faucets in my house. This is the number one problem. This part fails to work, leaks out of the solenoid, doesn't show the temperature correctly, or the solenoid doesn't close all the way and causes the faucet to leak. Overall this is a poorly designed and implemented part.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Needs to be replaced often. I’m having to the replace this after just 3 years, and it was replaced five years before that.

Q&A

Can I use electrical plug accessory instead of the batteries?

Can I use electrical plug accessory instead of the batteries?
Asked by: SherrieB2
Hi SherrieB2, Thank you for your question! We do off the EP73954 AC power adapter. The power adapter plugs into a hole on the side of the solenoid, directly below the connection for the LED wire. However, it only works for solenoid assemblies manufactured after January 2015 or later, which have a gray housing. If the faucet was made prior to that, the solenoid would need to be replaced first. Best regards, Brandis

Have Delta faucet 592T-DST single handle Touch 2O & Diamond Seal Tech. LED on-off, 3 water temps. Purchased 2017. Sometimes works, mostly not. Red light on even if cold. Single water feed line w/ heater. Replaced solenoid before. Seller out of bus.

Asked by: Need new solenoid
Hi Need new solenoid, Thank you for your question about the Delta Faucet model 592T-DST. To troubleshoot the LED, 1. Disconnect power from the unit. 2. Unplug the LED and plug it fully back in until it clicks and is firmly engaged in the solenoid assembly. 3. Reconnect power and see if the problem is resolved. See here for additional troubleshooting for inconsistent activation. https://support.deltafaucet.com/s/article/How-to-Troubleshoot-a-Delta-Kitchen-Faucet-with-Touch2O-Technology-1628025862981 Please contact us directly for further assistance or if you have any additional questions! Will the EP74857 work with older Delta Touch20 bath faucets that ONLY have touch sensor and no proximity sensor? My current solenoid is *similar* to RP64166 (a.k.a 64688), but only has tag on it reading 64687 so I don't know the actual "RP" part number.

Asked by: tims
Hello Valued Customer, Thank you for contacting Delta Faucet Company! No, the EP74857 is not compatible with RP70179 (64687). However, the EP75384 will work! We appreciate your inquiry. Please reach out directly if you have further questions! Best Regards, Kyra Digital Communications Specialist
