PRODUCT FEATURES
The solenoid assembly enables your Delta Touch2O® pull-down kitchen faucet. It senses your touch and shows the water temperature. Consider replacing this part if you notice either of these two issues: The faucet keeps dripping until you move the handle to OFF, even after you’ve flushed the system. Or Touch activation works only sometimes, and you’ve already ruled out other causes (improper installation, metal shank touching the sink, loose wires, battery pack in the wrong spot, or tapping the faucet incorrectly).
  • To ensure compability with your faucet, location a sticker on the solenoid assembly with a part number. Part numbers that work with this replacement solenoid are X00090225,X00080379, X00080377, X00071283,or X00064738.
  • EP92546XX is for a faucet with the finish Matte Black (BL), Matte White (MW), Spotshield® Stainless (SP), or Venetian Bronze (RB)
  • EP92546 is compatible with faucets with the following finishes: Arctic Stainless (AR), Black Stainless (KS), Champagne Bronze (CZ), Chrome, Lumicoat® (PR), or Polished Nickel (PN)

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Keeps failing 2nd replacement in 4 yeaes. Solenoid keeps sticking/barely opening after about 2 years each and these replacements are too expensive for what they do. Fortunately you can simply take out the solenoid and connect the water line that can normal faucet but then why pay for the touch2o function Will replace with a Moen.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Brizio Touch On/Off Switch We have a 10-year old Brizio 'touch-on/off' faucet that lost its ability to function. Purchase this replacement but it only works intermittently. Looks like we'll have to move forward with the purchase of a fully new faucet.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Broke within 3 months of installation I’m so disappointed. We had our faucet installed for less than 3 months before this part broke so now I have a $300 faucet that functions as a $50 faucet. Downside is that we slowly bought our appliances for our kitchen reno so this particular piece is just under a year old even though it was brand new to us. To see that I would have to pay almost $200 to get a new one is extremely disappointing. Just stick with a regular faucet.

RE: 9113T-AR-DST - Pressure decreased. There was a squealing sound under the sink. Replaced RP73000 cartridge. Pressure still low. Cold is very slow. Hot is better, but not full flow. On/Off works fine. Should we replace EP92546 Solenoid?

what is the difference between an EP92546 and an EP92546XX ?

Asked by: pete
Hello pete, Thank you for your question. Since the finish of the faucet effects the touch function for our Delta faucets, the solenoids are different. For Polished Chrome, Champagne Bronze, Arctic Stainless & Stainless Steel finishes order EP92546. For Matte Black & Venetian Bronze finishes order EP92546XX. Please feel free to call, email, or message us on social if there is anything else you need. I have this component as part of 9193-KS-DST (Pivotal with Touch2O), and it works great. One question out of curiosity: For what purpose is the RJ45 (8-pin data port) intended? There's no description in any of the literature. Thank you!

Asked by: MikeB
Thank you for your question, MikeB! This port is used primarily for diagnostic testing by our engineers and some trades professionals; however, our new voice module, the device that turns the faucet into a voice activated product, connects to the solenoid via an Ethernet cable. Best regards, Edward

Will this be a compatible replacement solenoid kit for my 9159T-AR-DST, and will it enable the installation of the VoiceIQ module?

Asked by: Pete
Thank you for your question, Pete! The EP92546 solenoid is compatible with the Voice IQ module. However, this faucet could take 1 of 2 replacement solenoid part numbers. If your faucet was purchased and installed prior to January 2018, you would need an EP74855 solenoid. That solenoid is also compatible with the Voice IQ. If the number on the white sticker, on the solenoid is X00074950, you would need EP74855. If the number on the white sticker is X00090218, you would need EP92546. Feel free to contact us privately, if you need further assistance. Best Regards, Benjamin

Have had the touch faucet for about 3 months and it stopped working. Water would not come through. Any ideas other than changing the entire solenoid??

Asked by: Dave G
Hello Dave G, Thank you for your question. We are happy to help! If the indicator light on your Delta faucet with Touch2O is working but the water is not flowing, the issue would likely be debris in the solenoid. The solenoid can be flushed by placing a bucket below the solenoid, putting the handle in the off position, and removing the hose below the solenoid. Now water will flow into the bucket when the handle is open and the solenoid is open. Run hot water for three minutes into the bucket. During this time touch the faucet quickly about ten times to open and close the solenoid.  We would also recommend cleaning the filter basket at the top of the solenoid and resetting the electronics by removing the battery cap and replacing the batteries with new, non-rechargeable batteries. Please reach out directly if you have any questions or need additional assistance. Best regards, Bryan
