Q&A

What cartridge kit is needed for DH240SS

Asked by: Redman
Thank you for your question, Redman! The H240PT handles are used on lavatory sink faucets in conjunction with the RP25513 stem unit assemblies. https://media.deltafaucet.com/PartsDiagram/Model_2540_53912_Rev_B.pdf Best regards, Edward

Is this the appropriate H24 handle for a Roman Tub?

Asked by: Kim
Hello Kim, Thank you for your question! The H24 and H240 handles are for lavatory sink faucets. They are smaller than roman tub handles. The roman tub handles that would match would be H640. Here is a link for those handles: http://www.deltafaucet.com/repairparts/details/h640.html I hope this helps! Best Regards, Rosanna

How do I Change a cartridge on the H 240SS

Asked by: Marion J
Hello Valued Customer, Thank you for contacting Delta Faucet Company! To change the RP25513, RP24096, and RP1740 please refer to the instructions below! Please gather towels, a large stock pot or bowl, an adjustable wrench, an 1/8" inch allen wrench. We recommend flushing the faucet before installing new stem units. Please also note to turn both hot and cold water off before removing parts. 1. Remove the handle by threading the handle lever counterclockwise. You will see a set screw inside of the handle base, use the 1/8" inch Allen wrench to loosen the set screw. 2. Pull the handle off of the stem unit. 3. Remove the bonnet nut with your wrench. 4. Before removing the rest of the parts, verify the orientation of the stem and lift straight up to pull the stem units out. 5. Look into the valve, you should see a seat and spring. Please pull these pieces out before flushing. 6. Place a towel around the back of the entire faucet, and place the bucket on top of the towel to catch excess water. 7. Have someone turn the cold water supply on for about 30 seconds to a minute. After this, shut the cold water off and move the bucket and towel to the hot side, flush that out as well. You may be able to do both at the same time if the faucet is a center-set lavatory faucet. We appreciate your inquiry. Please reach out directly if you have further questions!
