How do I remove existing handle H28?
Hi Stew, Thank you for your question. To remove the H28 handle you must first pry the small acrylic button RP2412 off of the handle. Underneath the button is a screw which when removed will allow tha handle to be separated from the stem assembly. I have attached a photo below showing the parts for the H28 handle.

Handle Material
Did Delta change the material that this handle is made of?
I have a box of H28's right in front of me, and they are chrome plated plastic, not metal. Can you physically verify what these handles are made of?
In my 26 years of plumbing, the H28 Blade handles have always been chrome plated plastic.

Are these H28 handles for a tub? Or they are smaller for a sink? I'm looking for chrome/chrome colored handles to replace the clear acrylic handles on my tub. This is a two handled tub faucet.

Thank you for your question. The Metal Blade Handles H28 are designed for lavatory and kitchen faucets. Basically any pair of our handles that start with a H6 are designed to fit our roman tub faucets. Some examples are H64-A64, H65, H66, H615, H616, H678, etc.

The H28 faucet handle: how do i get the cap off in order to get at the screw holding it in place?

The cap on the Blade Handle Set MODEL#: H28 can be removed by using something flat like a butter knife or ever finger nails to pop it out of the handle.
