Delta Shower Kits Contents Explanation
The product is fine. However it should be made very clear what shower accessories are included in the Delta kits and what are not that need to be ordered separately. This valve was not included and was key to making the system work. Plus the price was a bit steep!

What escutcheon plate or trim plate is required for installation? That information is pertinent and not provided (from what I can tell) on the product page.

Is there a extension kit for the R11000 diverters yet?

Has this item in matte black been discontinued? I can’t find it available anywhere.
Is there an adapter required to connect it to the valve? Looks like there is a slot for a nut inside the handle. In current configuration, the slot is too big to grip the valve stem.

Thank you for your question about the Delta Faucet H597CZ.
This handle is used with a diverter trim like model T11897-CZLHP. The handle set screw should hold the handle onto the stem of the diverter cartridge. See here for more information:
