Hello Sambo, Thank you for your question! We are happy to help you. The DELTA Adapter W/ O-Ring - Tub Spout MODEL# RP12307 is used for a tub spout. It can be soldered onto a 1/2" copper pipe or threaded onto a 1/2" IPS pipe nipple. This adapter should be soldered between 5/8" – 1 5/8” from the finished wall. Is there a brushed nickel tub spout that works with the RP12307?  I'll stick with delta if there is one, if not I can sweat off the current one.

Please note that our stainless finish is similar to brushed nickel. Many Delta stainless tub spouts will fit this adapter including RP34357SS and RP75435SS. What size is the outer thread? 1-1/4 inch is too large, 1 inch is too small, I can't find anything that's 1-1/8 inch that might fit over it.

I have a RP84371 spout. Apparently this adapter fits my application but i would prefer a set screw. Will the tri universal work with the RP84371? Also, I'm curious why the adapter is sold with the spout but not with the shower trim combination pack?

I have this adapter on my pipe already, and I would like to attach a tub spout with a hand shower hookup. Another customer asked this question, and apparently none of the hand shower spouts are compatible with this part. So, how do I remove the adapter?

You will need to attach the hand shower to either the shower arm or in a roman tub, you would need to use the R4707-PX rough. We bought Tub Faucet RP81273SS, which appears to be designed for a 1/2" copper pipe slip fit. Unfortunately, our original faucet was thread mounted to a 1/2" galvanized pipe. Would this fit into the black inner piece?

After sweating the RP12307 adapter to 1/2" copper pipe, how can the adapter be capped to pressure test the system prior to assembling the tub spout?

The instructions show that a slip on copper connection can be used and references an Allen lock screw however the assembly provided does not have a tapped hole or Allen lock screw provided. Can this assembly be used for slip on applications?
