Do the screws go through the top of the shower handle?
I've been told the part number of my shower handles is RP11768HDFPB. My sink faucet handles match the shower handles. They appear to be interchangeable. However, the screw that goes through the top of each of my shower handles is much longer than the screw that goes through the top of my sink handle.
I need to replace my shower handles. I found RP11768HDF (chrome) on a website, but the accompanying screws look shorter than mine. Hence, my question as to whether the screws that come with the Extenders are the screws that go through the handle. My shower handle screw is 4" long while my sink handle is 1 1/4" (see photo). How long are the Extender screws?

Can I get the RP12631 Extender in metal? I have some heavy-handed people in my house that keep twisting off the plastic ones.

Thank you for your inquiry. The Delta Stem Extenders RP12631 are not made in metal. They are only made in plastic, to match the plastic stems they sit on top of.
