Rated 5 out of 5 by from Older than my kids Honestly, I've not installed this part yet, but Delta figured out which part from a photo, and sent me this replacement, for free, for my thirty-year-old shower. Can't comment on actually fixing the leak, but it's the correct part, with awesome customer service.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Problem Solver Several months ago Delta sent me a new stem assembly at no charge that fixed my leaking Delta faucet that was over ten years old and I was ever so grateful. However the faucet was discontinued long ago and I feared that sometime in the future if it leaked again the repair part might no longer be available so I bought a spare.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Hope for the hopeless Didn't think my odd, old tub faucet was repairable (one handle for temp, one for water flow) but this part and a few others and about an hour of time and it's working like new. Thanks for having diagrams and parts in stock!

Is there a 1 inch stem extension for this product?

I need to extend the stem approx. 1 inch and have been unable to find any extension around this range. Does one exist?

I called to order a replacement RP1740. The person said my Neo style two handle 2467 faucet is discontinued, and is sending an RP70676 stem to replace the RP1740. Is this the correct replacement?

Asked by: turfdr
Thank you for your question, turfdr! The part number RP70676 can be used as a substitute for the standard RP25513 or RP24096 stem unit assemblies. This part number; however, includes the 1/4 turn stop, seat and spring as well as a bonnet nut. Best regards, Edward

I have the repair kit but I can remove the  outer “cover” to replace the seal kit. It should lift off after I remove the screw, but is stuck, frozen tight!  The hot water one lifted right off. Thanks

Asked by: TCRAW
Hello, I apologize for the issue you are experiencing and I am happy to help you. You will want to take a cloth soaked in a 50/50 solution of white vinegar and water an wrap it around the handle for a few hours. This solution will break down mineral buildup around the handle and base to allow for easier removal. Please reach out with further questions! Best Regards, Tim Digital Communications Specialist

How is this and RP41701 different? Are they interchangeable?

Asked by: bcsmith
Hi, bcsmith! Thank you for your question. The Delta RP1740 and RP41701 are not interchangeable as they are different sizes and fit different faucets. Best Regards, Rosanna

How do I remove the handle on my rp1740?

Asked by: Bill
Thank you for your question. Without knowing which handle you have, it is difficult to advise you on how to remove it. Some of our handles are held on with a set screw on the side of the handle, and some have a screw in the top of the handle underneath the button.

RP1740 vs RP25513

Both look like same except brass and plastic. Our bathroom faucet have brass stem cartridge with two handle centerset type. Can RP1740 cartridge be used in place of the RP25513? Thanks in advance.
Asked by: W
Hi, W! Thank you for your question. The RP1740 are plastic and they are meant for faucets that have knob handles like the clear, acrylic, crystal-looking handles. The RP25513 are brass and they are meant for faucets that have metal-lever handles. Best Regards, Rosanna
