Need detailed specs
First of all, I called Delta customer service in preparation of my replacement project. I watched the videos and ordered a bunch of parts.
Bonnet nut was never mentioned. I am forced to stop and put back the old system so that I can turn the whole-house water back on.
I am searching online to find the correct part of the bonnet nut. The Documents & Specs section shows only product height, not helpful at all.

Delta RP22734 Unplated Replacement Bonnet
You need this part when replacing the cartridge if it's been in place for a while. Old ones are very difficult to remove and you may need to cut it off like I did.

Buy several at once
You will need them. I am re-stocking because my contractor installed three of this type faucet in my house. This class of Delta faucet suffers from two design defects. First, the cartridge assembly has very weak keying to the body so it gradually rotates out if line in use, and the water volume drops off. You will occasionally need to disassemble the faucet and re-seat it. Since they are all installed in tile walls it was too much trouble to replace these faucets with something else.
Second, the cartridge is retained by this bonnet nut that has a very large thread contact area to the faucet body, and corrosion-welds itself to the faucet body. The only way to remove the bonnet after a while is to destroy it. Best way is use a hacksaw or cutting wheel to cut through one side, then using a hammer and cold chisel work around the bonnet and gradually pry the threads away from the body. I found that by being careful I have been able to remove them and leave the faucet body threads still usable.

Should have known
This bonnet was exactly what I needed, I always go with OEM.
I got a replacement cartridge under warranty, the old bonnet had to be cut off. Quick delivery, 3 days, got me back in the shower.
