Does the screw go straight through the center of the handle or is it offset at an angle?  I am looking to replace the Delta single lever acrylic handle in our bathtub but the stores carry ones that are the correct size but the screw hole is offset.

Ordered Delta acrylic replacement knob for shower RP17451. However had a diamond broach instead of the hexagonal needed. Online indicated the diamond plastic piece could be removed, however broke the knob. Carry hexagonal replacement broach?

Hi Gin A, Thank you for your question about the Delta Faucet RP2391. The offset opening on the back of the knob fits the ball assembly RP212 with a diamond-shaped stem. RP17451 fits the same stem but is centered. We do not offer a knob with a hex socket. It is possible that the handle adapter is still on the stem and was separated from the handle assembly. RP74148 is a handle kit that includes a hex-shaped adapter to fit an RP70538 cartridge. The RP70539 acrylic knob for this cartridge is discontinued. Please reach out with any additional questions!
