Rated 5 out of 5 by from Works great for circa 2005 faucet handles I have two sinks (4 faucet handles) that use this part. It is the correct part for my master BR sinks. My faucet handles look just like the pic from review "Delta stands behind their product". My question - in the pic from Tony's review there is a bolt in the background - I am missing this bolt for one of my faucets. It's got a collar to it so as to push/hold the RP24096 in place. What is the name and dimension of this bolt??

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Old roman tub faucet I have an old Roman Tub faucet and my AI on my smart phone say the handles are from Danco, However the Delta T2710 looks exactly like mine, It is dripping bad and looks like delta part RP24096 might repair it. However I am confused with the Danco call out? The lettering on the knobs matches the Danco sight? Does Delta use Danco parts or maybe the knobs were replaced previously.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Lots of help I have an old roman tub faucet that was leaking from the hot water side. I had little or no info as to the faucet model no. or cartridge that I needed to repair the leak. I used the Delta email service and sent in two pictures of the faucet and within a day got a response with my faucet model number (since discontinued) and the type of cartridge I needed. My only issue with Delta is that they limit the problem description to 250 characters! I think 500 characters would allow a better description of the problem.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Delta stands behind their product I only buy DELTA products for all my needs and I had a perfect example of their exceptional Customer's service. I had a 15 to 20 years old Delta bathroom faucet that was leaking under the HW handle. I knew that Delta indicates that they have a ''Lifetime Limited Warranty that covers parts being free of defects in material and workmanship for the original owner/purchaser''. I got in touch with them and they sent me the required replacement parts RP24096 - Stem Assembly and RP4993 - Seats and Springs under their promised lifetime warranty. The leak is fixed and we have a ''new'' faucet. Fantastic Customer's experience and Delta exceeded all my expectations. With quality products that deliver the expected performance and exceptional customer's service, I will remain a Delta customer for life.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Replacing a Leaking Tap Cartridge I have a 2004 Delta Two Handle Bathroom Faucet Victorian Collection model #3555. Not be confused with the newer model 35955. The HW tap was leaking from under the bell of the handle when the CW tap was turned on. I suspected I needed to change out the stem cartridge and seal/spring give the age of the faucet. So, I just did both as opposed to testing each separately. Tracking down the parts was somewhat easy once I identified the faucet model, however, I did run into problems which I will get to in a second. YOU NEED TO BE VERY SPECIFIC AS TO THE DELTA MODEL NUMBER AND YEAR. Even though the Victorian model looks exactly the same through the 2000’s, the replacement part numbers can be different. I found this out when I ordered what I thought to believe was the correct seat/spring #RP10700. When in fact, it was the RP4993. For my faucet, 2004 #3555 STEM/CARTRIDGE: RP 24096 (this is mostly consistent across most of the #3555 years) SEAT/SPRING: RP 4993 (this in NOT consistent across many of the #3555 and depends upon year) I ordered from Amazon and Delta parts, not knockoffs. RP 25513. This includes ONE Stem/Cartridge (RP24096) plus the ¼ turn stop (RP24097). RP 8230. This includes ONE Stem/Cartridge (RP24096) plus the seat/spring (RP10700) So, looking at all the costs, I ordered Qty 2 of the RP25513 plus Qty 1 of the RP10700 (2 seats & springs). PROBLEM: When I changed everything out, the leaking stopped BUT the faucet started dripping when I turned on the HW supply valve. After “googling” the problem, the issue was likely the Seat/Spring. I had ordered the incorrect part RP10700 when in fact the RP4993 was needed. Interesting enough, when I removed the original, the seat spring I pulled out looked to be the RP10700. When I checked the CW tap (which had no leaks), the seat/spring appeared to be the RP4993, so I took a chance and ordered it. Voila, it was the right part and both the leaking and dripping has stopped and I’m done!!

Will this work on a quarter turn lavatory faucet?

Asked by: Mike
Not really. Replacing with RP24096 will make your faucet handle turn 1/2 turn from full off to full on. If your faucet's handle turn a 1/4 turn now that means you have RP25513 inside. All you have to do is to remove the leaky RP25513 and keep the plastic 1/4 turn stop part from it and use it with the new RP24096 and you will be good to go!

Is the Delta RP1740C interchangeable with the RP25513? If not interchangeable, please advise when we should use the RP1740C and when we should use the RP25513?

Asked by: Jack
Hi Jack, Thank you for your question! RP1740 stems can often be used interchangeably with RP24096 and RP25513. The differences are that RP1740 is not able to install the 1/4 turn stop that is included with RP25513. RP1740 has a plastic tip and the others have brass tips. It is best used with handles that attach with a screw through the top, or using a retention screw for a lever handle. Please reach out with any additional questions!
