The exact product
Previously I purchased a replacement part from Lowes. Yes it stated it was for a Delta product. From the very first you couldn't turn the handle all the way to the off position or water would drip.
The Delta part fit perfect and works perfect. Thank goodness, I was beginning to doubt my plumber skills due to the aftermarket part.

Learned how to replace this part from YouTube
Stem is easy for the homeowner to replace. One can visually identify the proper part number from Delta's website. Disappointing that Delta mentions nothing next to this part about seats and springs,a common cause of leaks and that Youtube and the local Lowe's were more helpful than the Delta website.

After purchasing the genuine part at my local hardware store. I installed the replacement valve. I could not get the hot side to work correctly. I bought 14 of these when all of them started to leak slowly in my new home we had built. They lasted 6 years. Now they are all starting to leak again. Are you kidding me?? It’s quite a investment to make when you invested so much thinking you were getting quality items. They leak on the handles. Some of them are for guest rooms and hardly used. Wow... watch out! Plumber was having a field day when we first changed them out. Costs me over 500 dollars. Now we replacing them ourselves but still multiple x 14... it’s a lot of money

EXCELLENT COMPANY
I was very please with dealing with the company that replaced my needed part and the delivery was on time and arrived in good condition. However, and no fault of the product, one side of the faucet assembly still leaks but I don't consider the part to be at fault. They were pristine. I believe the problem lies in the faucet itself.

Worked Perfectly
This was an exact duplicate of the Delta part I removed and it fit like a glove and worked perfectly resolving the small water leakage. I plan to order more of these units as I have 4 sinks that are the same hardware.

Delta RP25513 - great!
I tried to get the replacement for my leaking faucet through Home Depot and the standard hardware stores, but google shows the replacement parts - not Delta parts. And the hardware stores didn't carry Delta or the listed replacment parts. The people working the store recommended what looked like the best fit. Of course it didn't quite work.
At this site, find the exact part, order and get it delivered within days. Fits perfectly, works perfectly. Thank you!

Happy to find what I needed
Since I didn't purchase the original faucet I didn't have any instruction manual or warrantee or part number. I have to replace these units EVERY year. A person would be better off buying a different brand. When it comes time to replace these, I'm just replacing the entire faucet. But NOT with a Delta!

The only problem I had is you can't tell the stem comes with the turn stop because it's shown in black like it might be seperate. So I ordered one and now I have 2.

I just replaced the RP25513 cartridge in my bathroom shower faucet. Where can I find a replacement extension?
There is a collar that extends the faucet handle out from the shower wall about 3 1/2 inches. There is an extension inside the collar that extends the cartridge through the collar out to the handle. It's about 3 1/2 inches long. Where can I find a replacement for this extension?
Hi Freeman, Thank you for your question. The RP18627 is the stem extension used in our 2 and 3 handle tub/shower faucets. You can order this item online or from your local retailer or wholesaler that sells Delta products.

I just replaced the RP25513-3 due to water leaking from the handle. That problem is now fixed; however, I still have a small drip coming from the faucet. Do I need to replace the spring and seal in the canister? If so, what is the part number for that?
Thank you for your question, Tony! The RP25513 stem unit assemblies work in conjunction with the RP4993 seats and springs. It is always a good idea to change these seals when changing the stem units.

Will this fit a 10 year old discontinued fauscet which I believe uses the part # RP24096?

The RP24096 and RP25513 stem units are exactly the same. The only difference is the RP25513 includes the 1/4 turn stop part number RP24097.

I have installed the complete hot water end valve assembly w/ the 25513 valve stem(older porcelain 2 handle Victorian widespread faucet). I turn on the water supply from the wall the water continues to run even after turning the handle a quarter turn.
Thank you for your question, Cards! The stem unit, RP25513, requires a seat and spring just below the stem in order to properly seal off water. Furthermore, the stem itself may need to be turned. The hot water handle is typically on the left hand side, so the stem itself should have the raised portion, or stop, facing to the right with the flat portion of the stem facing away from the spout.

Ordered part RP25513 for a leaky handle. Does the stopper need to be in a certain position for the water to work correctly? The water will either turn on fully or I can’t turn the water off.

The 1/4 turn stops included with stem unit RP25513, need to be installed in a certain position. The permanent 1/4 turn stops. should be facing to the right, on both the hot and the cold side. On the hot side, the removable 1/4 turn stop should be on the front of the stem unit, running from 6:00-8:00. The flat portion of the hot side brass stem, should be facing the left. On the cold side, the removable 1/4 turn stop should be on the back of the stem, running from 12:00-2:00. The flat portion of the brass stem, should be facing the right. I bought part RP25513 thinking it would work for both cold and hot. It works fine for hot, but it works in reverse for cold. Is there another part number for cold?

Thank you for your question. The Delta RP25513 Stem Unit Assembly works for both hot and cold valve sides. We recommend changing the direction of the stem to change the orientation of the handle.

my faucet takes an RP1740C. the replacement part has a plastic stem. the original has a brass stem. is an RP25513 interchangeable with RP1740C
