Q&A
How to connect drain assembly to drain pipe?
I have bought the Delta 521 DST-A and I cannot see how I am supposed to fit the drain assembly to the drain pipe. First of all the drain asembly is a 1.25 inch pipe in diameter and my drain pipe is 1.75 inches in diameter. Also there are no threads on the end of the drain assembly piece so even if I had a connecting pipe how would it attach?. The drain assembly piece comes about 6 inches short of the drain pipe. I don't believe I am missing parts so what parts do I need to purchase at the store?
Hi Cfs,
Thank you for your question. You will need to purchase a slip joint extension tube in either 1-1/4" or 1-1/2". You will also need to purchase a 1-1/2" to 1-1/4" reducing bushing. These are compression style fittings that compress onto the pipe to secure, not thread on. These are available at most hardware stores or home centers, not through Delta.
Thanks,
Dave

I have a Delta Faucet and drain assembly model number 25984LF-OB. I need a new pop-up assembly and I see that my model has been discontinued. Would this drain RP26533 work for my sink?
Hi, Kimm!
Thank you for your question. The Metal Pop Up drain assembly RP26533 will work with the 25984LF-OB. Also, the RP26533OB Plastic Pop Up drain assembly will work. Here is a link to this as well:

My delta bathroom Linden widespread lavatory faucet ven bronze 652614 lift rod stopper broke where the bronze fixture that shows meets the chrome assembly under the sink. It seems that Delta uses a narrower thread than simple replacement parts

how do I remove the pop-up so I can plunge out a slow drain? Not sure how to do that. Thanks
Hi Eaglescout9,
Thank you for your inquiry. In some installations, you will first need to remove the horizontal rod to take out the stopper. Simply loosen the nut on the back of the drain, pull out the horizontal rod then lift out the stopper.
Best regards,
Tanya

How do you clean up a Bronze Finish that has water corrosion?
Hello,
I apologize for the issue you are experiencing and I am happy to help you.
We recommend cleaning Delta Faucet products with a 50/50 solution of white vinegar and water.
If additional cleaning is required the following products are safe to use on all Delta Faucet finishes, when used according to the manufacturers’ instructions for use:
Formula 409® Antibacterial All-Purpose Cleaner
Fantastik® All-Purpose Cleaner
Windex® Original Glass Cleaner
Other gentle all-purpose or multi-surface cleaners may also be used. Please do not use anything labeled “all-purpose bathroom cleaner".
Please reach out with further questions!
