I have popped off the old cover, unscrewed and now I am ready to put the new part. Does the new part require a screw or not? I am trying to use the old screw that was with the previous part and it does not seem long enough to use

What size screw is needed to attach this temperature knob to the rest of the fixture? Recently bought a house with this part in it but the cover and knob always come off, they seem to be missing the connection screw in the middle of the piece.

Then snap the finished cover over the knob with the side snaps. I'm trying to make the temperature adjust knob easier to turn for my 85 year old mother. I removed the temp control knob and the selection lever and found no deposits or corrosion. How do I make temperature selection easier for someone of her age?

If the temperature knob is difficult to move, be sure the screw is not over-tightened. Soaking the valve cartridge in 50/50 white vinegar and water for a few hours will dissolve any internal mineral deposits that are not visible. Another suggestion would be a trim kit with a lever handle that is easier to grab and could provide more leverage. Even a single handle 14 series trim kit can be used if you have a MultiChoice valve. I have a house with Delta Faucet RP28595. I have to replace the temperature selector head every few years when the plastic knob wears out. Is there a newer handle option that fits my existing shower valve, in place of my valve knob and cover?

I have a delta shower handle, installed in 2002 that I’m trying to remove. I unscrewed and removed the Allen set screw, but I can’t get the handle off. I tried to wiggle it off, and pry if off but no luck. any suggestions? I don’t want it to break it.

How to remove rp28595 temperature nob

You will be able to either "pop" it off of the temperature control knob by prying it off with a small screwdriver, or you will be able to slide it downward, in the opposite direction of the "pointed" end of the cover. Once the cover has been removed, you will be able to see the temperature control knob. It is held on with a screw. Unscrew the screw to remove the temperature control knob. Our shower handle looks just like this but in brushed nickel is there an option for that. Also what shower model/series did this come off of originally. While we built the house, we don't have documentation on the original shower setup
